Income Made and Taxes Paid by the Rich

The income that is made and taxes that are paid by the rich vs the not so rich has been quite a hot topic. While most people are extremelyresistant to any and all kinds of tax increases regardless of whether you are considered rich or not.

So I agree it's worth posting information to help provide some context to this debate as it appears that over the past 30 years, the very rich have seen their real taxes decrease even as they've seen their incomes increase.

This is good to keep in mind when hearing about how the rich are paying a greater proportion of federal income taxesthan they have in previous years. While it is true that they are paying more taxes, it is also true that the reason they are paying more in taxes is that they are making much more money. Not because they are being taxed more heavily than they have been in the past.

If you look at the taxes they are paying on any given dollar of income, the amounthas been falling, and for most of us, that's what is actually mostrelevant in terms of our ownindividual tax burdens.

Re: What are your success criteria? Re: What are your success criteria? - [quote="DwayneGarrett":1igrdgib]Out of curiousity, what has to be present for you to know that your business is a success? The top three things for me are: 1. Maintaining a 6 figure income year in and year out. 2. Creating and promoting my own products. 3. Income not solely dependent upon my personal effort. How about yours?[/quote:1igrdgib] I would have to say mine were: 1. Monthly Residual Income that exceeds all expenses by 110% 2. Free time to create and promote my own products (relies on #1) 3. 5% of all revenues generated by my team going to feed starving kids Now that is "feel good work".

Re: Has anyone used Spyfu.com? Re: Has anyone used Spyfu.com? - I have also used Spyfu. It's good to find out what kind of strategy your competitor's are following in Organic and Paid SEO. We can also find out the list of organic keywords our competitors are working on along with their organic ranking in Google. It's really an interesting tool.
CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.
