Focus on your strengths

Running a business is difficult especially when you are wearing many

hats. Office Manager, Sales and Marketing, Receptionist, Accountant,

Bookkeeper. You are doing all that and more on top of providing the

product or service for your business.

How much time are you actually spending on your product or service ? I

am willing to bet not as much as you would like.

It is important to stick to your strengths. Recognize what not able

to keep on top of and relinquish other tasks to more qualified individuals.

Who should you choose to hand over the reins of some tasks. You don't want to pay a lot. It is no longer necessary to depend on an expensive CA to handle so much. Don't need to keep an inexperienced bookkeeper who may or may not have accounting knowledge. Choose someone with

a comprehensive background. With the education and experience to handle everything from the day to day bookkeeping to reports and tax prep.

There is too many people out there with little or some experience no accounting education. Some accounting education little to no experience.

Choose a well rounded accounting professional that can do it all. You can focus on your strengths. All for the sake of your business.

Re: Strategy People Re: Strategy People - [quote="Binary Guy":2khba9of]Greetings all! Recently I have come to the understanding that I am severely lacking strategy. I have many, many tactics on how to make money with my business but without a strategy to implement those tactics I'm spinning my wheels. Has anyone found someone who is a great strategist for their business? There are lots of 'readable' resources around but like more entrepreneurs, I'm too busy thinking of ways to make money for my business rather than learning strategy. So, for me the best thing is to find someone who can help guide my business in strategic planning. Someone who can supplement my strengths with their own. As an extra question, is this a common trait amung entrepreneurs? How many here are good at strategy? If you learned to be good, how did you learn?[/quote:2khba9of] Let me give this a try. Strategists are easy to come by if you know what you’re looking for. The only way to really do this effectively is to find someone who's in the same industry (or similar industry) as you are or has had experience in it. Once you find the person, you would need to find a good incentive package for them to join you. It’s hard to find one good strategy that works because obviously as you have noticed different markets act differently. The strategy that you implement also depends on where you are trying to go with the company. The best bet to start, if I was you, is to figure out your long term goals for your idea (i.e. market share, integrations, partnerships, incentives, etc) and try to find good companies (i.e. potential partner) who can benefit from your idea and have them promote you. With that as a start you might be able to access new networks that can allow you to find the right people to further promote your idea. Focus on one idea, get it going properly, then when it runs nicely, go onto the next idea. message me if you need some help
