She lives with her children and husband in a family house in a fishing community called Aquase, near Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana. Aba is a food vendor. She sells a local dish called ?banku? in her community. She prepares the food in her house of residence and sells by the roadside in the evenings. Banku is prepared from corn dough and served hot with soup. She says she procures the raw materials such as maize, fish, and other vegetables from the local market. Aba has been in this business for five years. She wants a loan to procure raw materials in bulk. Aba is hopeful to improve upon her standard of living.
