Description: Nabbanja Tausi is the chairperson of the Bugolo Zibulatudde Group in Kikondo, Lugazi. She is 43 years old, married with six children, and also cares for two more kids, all in school. She is a business lady with a business selling fish (mukene) for a living. She buys the fish from fishermen at a wholesale prices and sells to her customers at retail prices.
She has successfully completed the repayment of her previous loan and with this new loan, she intends to buy more small fish for sale to her ever-increasing customers. Her customers are in and around Lugazi district and she intends to look for additional customers as long as she can.
About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee. Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.
