Description: Kagodo Abdu is the leader of Bugolo group. He has a retail shop that has been operational for over 10 years. He sells essential items that are needed by the locals in his area and he says that although there are many shops next to his, he has many customers that he has managed to win because of the good care he offers them as well as having sufficient stocks of goods. This is also possible because of the loans he gets from Pearl microfinance that enable him to stock more bags of sugar, salt, maize flour, and others from Jinja town.


About Group Loans
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a group of individuals bound by a group guarantee. Under this arrangement, each member of the group supports one another and is responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.
