Why Are Keywords Important?
"Why are Keywords important"?
The term 'keyword' in reference to search engines means the words or phrases that a user types into a Search Engine, such as Google® or Yahoo!®, in order to find the information he or she is seeking. Search engines use these keywords to determine the indexing, cataloguing and ranking of their of their website lists.
To be successful, and to obtain top rankings or positions in the search engines, the keywords on your webpages must be a major part of your search engine optimization campaign.
We all know that highly optimized title and meta-tags will elevate search engine rankings, but they must be accompanied by a keyword rich page.
We have all heard the SEO expression "content is King". This expression arises from the fact that search engines are most interested in having any Internet surfer find the exact information that he was looking for.
We all want our websites correctly indexed in the search engines, so whether you're writing a keyword-rich marketing copy from scratch or simply changing the keyword focus of your existing copy, it's important to know where to place your keywords so that they don't interrupt the flow of your writing.
The Title Tag is used to specify what text appears at the top of a browser window when visiting a web page. It is also the link text when your web site appears in search engine results. The Title Tags influence rankings, so spend time on them. It's worth it. Include keywords / key phrases relevant to the web page.
Title tags are undeniably one of the "big three" as far as the algorithmic weight given to the factors considered by Search Engines.
You want "buyers" to visit your website, not just random visitors. With the correct use of keywords you'll be able to quickly and easily find the people looking for exactly what you're selling.

But like everyone else I kept upgrading and finally learned some programming which grew into promoting various websites on the Internet. I soon found I was pretty good at the promotion of websites and in 1997 decided to give up the law business and devote my time to designing and promoting websites on the Internet. While still designing and promoting websites I am now concentrating on spreading information about the promotion of websites to do-it-yourselfers. Especially since the economy is so tight. Therefore our major websites are devoted to giving away the so-called secrets of the trade, except we don't keep secrets. The following websites provide "do your own promotion" information.
