What kind of grades does your web site get?
The good folks at HubSpot have an excellent tool to actually "grade" your web site. The tool measures how effective your professional web design site is in your industry and the general "webosphere". Not only does it look at the physical coding of your site it also ranks your marketing efforts, your position in your industry, your competitors, your inbound marketing efforts, your blog ranking, your traffic ranking, your SEO, your linking, and numerous other highly relevant factors.
Best of all its free! Simply log into and enter your domain.
This bring up a another serious consideration if you have not hired to create or rejuvenate your online brand. How do other firms you may be considering stack up on their own grade? How can they possibly help you if they are not amongst the elite themselves? Would you hire a lawyer who got a "C" on his LSATS? Well No! They wouldn't pas the bar! There are many good custom web design companies out there...but make sure you hire a firm with a score of at least 80. This shows they know what they are doing.
ImageWorks Studio has one of the highest website grades out there, a 99.1/100. Feel free to call us or request a quote from our site at , we are happy to help and will even give you a honest and insightful review of your current site at no charge!

Re: Need help
- What kind of web marketing business are you proposing? As others have said, it doesn't need to cost a lot of money to start a web site business. But it depends entirely on what kind of business you are talking about.
If you want to do a simple affiliate type site it shouldn't take a lot money. If you are talking about a complicated, custom made, database driven site, then you're talking major start up costs.
It's difficult to advise you on how to get funding when we don't know what your intentions are.

Re: Dropped Out Of School To Startup!
-
I don't know how it goes in other countries, but here we have so many "student right" but they forget all the other rules students have to follow.
They do think they are smarter than their teachers, there is no respect to a teacher, or any adult.
I am working with kids at the ages of 12-18, what amaze me the most is the fact they have no boundaries, and they don't know the difference between right and wrong, and the teachers, can't do their job, to teach and educate, because they can't tell the students anythings, because it hurt their feelings.
What about our feelings?[/quote:wt0bsxdg]
That's a real shame, Tanny. It must be hard trying to teach students who already think they know everything and don't give you any respect. I can't even imagine trying to deal with that.
At my high school, and most schools here including elementary grades, if a student acts up and gives the teacher a hard time, all they have to do is send them to the principal's office, and they'll be taken care of. That kind of attitude isn't tolerated over here. Most students are well behaved, but there's always a few that need dealt with.
Re: Alexa Ranking Goals
-
It looks like I under estimated how quickly my rankings would improve so my new goal to achieve by the end of the year is now 200,000. I think this might take quite some doing.
MichelleJ[/quote:2zx1anc1]
It's actually very easy to make your Alexa jump up very quickly as long as you are getting web savvy people to your site because they will more likely have the toolbar installed. That means webmasters, internet marketers, techies, and others along those lines. I've had sites go below the 100,000 mark in Alexa with relatively little traffic because they were getting this kind of traffic.
Now, the only problem with that is those are the same people that will not click on your ads or buy from your affiliate links. Highly targeted search traffic is where the money comes from for the most part, but those people won't help your Alexa at all because most of them won't have the toolbar installed. That's why in the grand scheme of things your Alexa ranking actually means nothing.
You have REALLY made it if your site hits a very low Alexa mark like under 50,000 and it's not from just getting tech savvy people to it. That means you are getting a ton of traffic and most of it is the right kind! That's ideal, obviously.
Michelle, I am not implying anything about your site in this post. I just kind of got on a ramble and decided to explain this to anyone who might not have already known.
Re: Review My: Trump 4 President Site
- Trent,
Thanks a lot. I appreciate the comment about run win lead.
I changed it to Will he Run-Win & Lead.
It's kind of a tag line meaning of course, will he run first off. Will he win second. And then
will he lead us out of the mess the countries in right now.
It's also the name of my newsletter. But above that, it kind of gives an overview of what the site includes.
I thought of using it since it has longer legs than just will he run etc. as even if he does and wins, that phrase will be relevant still.
I know, I can't help myself with the SBI banners, LOL But 70+% of the public is interested in earning
some income from home and I hope to have a bunch coming there who have their personal economy in mind and looking for answers etc.
Is there stability for freelancers?
-
Freelancing gives you room to be free of 9 to 5 jobs. You work on your own time and leisure. The only problem is if you are not discipline you might end up doing nothing at all[/quote:2jyrley3]
I've actually been doing some freelancing myself with private tutoring and teaching essay writing for grades 6 to 8 students.
What can freelancers do to ensure they always have a steady line of work?
