Are You Dreaming of Success!

Are you dreaming of success in the middle of the night when you are fast asleep and everything seems so easy? Picture this, you are in bed in a deep sleep and you can see everything clearly as if it was really happening. You see yourself in your swanky new office, driving an expensive car, enjoying holidays around the world, mixing with influential people. You hear a very loud noise and wake up in a panic, it's your alarm telling you it's time to wake up and go to work. Work, a job you have no interest in, do not enjoy and earn very little money. This is the familiar story I hear from many of my clients when they come to me for help and require my business development coaching skills.

Ask yourself some very important questions, how can I help myself? How can I create the life I really want? How can I turn my dream into a reality? The answers are simple, and you can find the answers if you truly believe in your dream. Are you passionate about your idea, do you think of ways to move forward and ask people for help or mentorship, or do you leave your idea in bed when you wake up from your dream?

Bed is a good place to leave your dream, but only if you prefer to dream every night and picture the life you really want, rather than actually really want what your dream offers. If you wake up next morning knowing that you are happy with the life you have when you are awake, there is no need to read further.

For those of you who are still reading you want to know how to create your success, how to turn your dream into a reality. Start building the foundations for your success, write down every aspect of your dream, set goals, and make them attainable. Look forward 5 years and envisage the life you will have then, and work backwards then write down what you did to reach your goals.

Have a poster on your wall with a picture of your dream, whatever that may be. It could be a sports car, or an office building, or a bank with all your money safely stowed away in the vault. Whatever it is you have to look at your dream every day, you have to see it, feel it, believe it and make it your own reality.

Have a chart on your wall and write down your goals, be specific, write down the things you can do to help yourself move forward. You might decide networking and meeting people to build those ever important relationships, is something you want to do every day. If this is the case mark the networking events on your chart.

Branding today, more than ever, is one of the most important aspects of your business so decide what your branding is before you spend money on marketing, websites, and other iniatives that are part of building the foundations for your success. You want to be unique, you need to stand out in a crowd, get noticed. When you walk into a room you should immediately have a presence and people asking who you are and wanting to be introduced to you. You are your brand!

If you need a website for business write down what kind of information you need on your website. How much budget you have to spend on the website. Who will do the work involved in building a website and do you trust them and have a good working relationship with them. Ask as many of your trusted networking contacts for ideas when designing your website, see what works for them, ask their advice before you commit to the final work.

Networking is the 2nd, in my opinion, most important piece of the foundation to building your success, that you can do to turn your dream into a reality. Where do you network, with whom, and why are some of the questions you will need answers to. Do you join every networking event as a member or contine to visit as a guest. Know who you want and need to network with and know why. Networking is successful if you build relationships of trust and offer to help others. Referrals will come to you, eventually, so be patient.

Financing a business is a major piece of the foundation you need to build, and this is where your local, trusted Small Business Advisor at the bank of your choice comes to your rescue. Some business starts ups need very little money in the beginning, some may need quite a lot, ask the professionals for the advice you need.

Marketing your business is another important piece of the foundation to ensuring your foundation is strong and can help turn your dream into a reality. Do you pay to advertise in the Yellow Pages, Magazines, Newspapers, or find other less expensive ideas? What works for you might not work for another business. How do you put together a media release? Surround yourself with a trusted network of people who can offer you mentorship and help you work your way through all the questions you need help with. You will be able to offer them help in exchange at some point.

Selling your product or service, and how to do this successfully. Whether you like it or not you are now a sales person, a lot of your time is actually taken up with selling, even though you might not realise it at first. Do you cold call? Do you send out millions of emails, or distribute thousands of flyers? What works for you? Once again ask your trusted network contacts and they can offer you lots of different advice and ideas.

Finally, you go to sleep and you dream your dream and you wake up in the morning and you have this wonderful feeling of freedom! Your dream is no longer just a dream, you have turned it into your reality, your life, your success!

You can do it, many of us do, and it is the most incredible feeling you will ever have. Why not try it? Wake up tomorrow and turn your dream into your reality, your success, you know you want to.
