If I Say Live a Healthy Lifestyle Will You Run The Other Way?

When we are young children we have very few choices in the life we lead, and that's ok to a certain degree. In my case my parents both smoked cigarettes in our family home, but the education back then was not in place so they knew no bettr. No one really worked out, not even the doctors why I was being rushed to hospital with my serious asthma attacks, recovered whilst there, and once back at home was taken ill again.

I think my intincts played a big part in who I am now, they helped me in many ways, I always listen to my instincts. Looking at people who smoke cigarettes, even when I was very young, I thought it was disgusting, dirty, and quite ridiculous. I never thought about how much money it cost back then, but I do now and I know that people who smoke cigarettes are actually burning money!

As an adult I made my own choices, I never smoked, drank alcohol in moderation, ate a sensible diet and exercised moderately. Actually I never realised I was doing most of those things, apart from not smoking. I had been bought up in a home where sensible diet was important, with treats in moderation. Obviously when I first discovered alcohol I drank too much on a few occasions but soon realised that was a horribel experience. Throwing up and having a hangover was not something I enjoyed! My exercise when I was younger was walking back and forwards to the bus stop or dancing at discos, I loved to dance. As I got older and became a mother I still walked a lot with my children and enjoyed the fresh air and exercise without even realising it kept me fit.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, not once but twice I looked at my lifestyle and I will never know if the things I had no control over played a part in my cancer. On the other hand I detected my cancer early, and my immune system was strong enough to help me fight the disease, along with the excellent health care I received from my doctors and other health care professionals.

I put weight on, partly due to a change in my lifestyle, party due to a hysterctomy, but I am not overweight. I still love to walk, exercise on a bike at home, and generally eat the sensible diet, which includes a few treats in moderation, including red wine which I love. I own two businesses, have a hectic life and laugh a lot. In fact I would say I look better now than ever before and I definitely contribute 99% of that to leading a healthy lifestyle, living life to the fullest and being happy in who I am.

If I had not lived the life I have I would not be enjoying my life, I may not have survived the breast cancer, twice, and I truly believe living a healthy lfiestyle can work for everyone not just me.

So if you want to be healthy, happy and successful, take a tip from me, look at your lifestyle and make those changes if you feel they will benefit you.

Would you happen to know what the catalyst or tipping point was for their change from a guide for tourists to an Executive Lifestyle magazine? Thanks
How Quick is That How Quick is That - Just to let you know that as I'm not as sharp as I might be in the ftp sort of world, I had a problem today with uploading a new site. Hostgator 'Live Chat' fixed this for me in two minutes flat and didn't make me feel I was an idiot at all (at least anymore than I felt myself). As I'm in the UK and ringing early am for me here, I thought that 'Live Chat' might have been EST, so off for me, but no, they were there! BTW I'd spelt my nameservers slightly wrong - duh! Now that's what I call service. Regards.

Re: What would you do with $500,000 or less? Re: What would you do with $500,000 or less? - there's a show on TV that talks to this point about saving time by getting other businesses to do the work for you. Anyone watch that show (Canada)? It may be on SLICE TV or Lifestyle.
Re: How does an entrepreneur stay energized? Re: How does an entrepreneur stay energized? - Hi there, This subject is not only for entrepreneurs. Everybody can benefit from this, that is the reason why 'Healthy Living and Eating' is a multi billion Dollar business. Often I smile, because so much is written about it. So many different business are blooming and doing well. Whilst there is so much knowledge and opportunity to be healthy and well, the need is still growing. There is so much that could be said. The cheapest form of energy is gained by a good sleep.
