Topics a corporate blog should include

So you’re thinking about starting a corporate blog, but remain clueless on what to write about. Company blogs are rapidly growing. A driving incentive is that blogging provides an ideal platform to show brand character and an opportunity to regularly interact with the outside world.

Posts need to be fresh and informative. All brands are unique, making the content choice as flexible as needs be.

Company activities are an important contribution to a blog. Customers are comfortable associating themselves with a brand they know. Releasing information, such as recent awards or charity work, reflects well on potential new customers.

Think you know the industry? Well you should do, otherwise you wouldn’t be involved in it! Demonstrate your industry knowledge and offer advice without giving too much away. This influences readers to get in touch and confide in you, should they need assistance.

Provide examples of best practice in the company. Use examples of how your company approaches challenging tasks. People enjoy learning about the inside of a business, not just the services on offer from the outside.

The use of videos and images are engaging to visitors. Readers want a face to the writing. Add a personal touch by making a video introducing some of the employees in the company. Relationships are established easier with a face to the name.

Overall there are no restrictions on blog content. That is the joy of the game. Provide fresh, innovative content that keeps readers returning to the site. Plan out your topics for the month and frequently update the content. Soon you will discover that an audience gathers at the sign of a new post.

Greg has been working in the UK advertising and marketing industry for almost 20 years and in that time has worked across all types of media; from outdoor billboards, to radio, to national and regional press to the Internet. This enabled him to set up The Media Cube in 2002, along with some colleagues, as a marketing agency, to bring that same broad national experience to smaller clients who wouldn’t usually get a look in with the big blue chip agencies. Greg believes passionately in trying to help clients maximise their return for their investment and ensure they get the sort of attention they deserve. Their success over the years has meant they are able to offer a wide range of services to help any business improve their sales. This was further added to by the launch of TMC Training, a sales training division set-up to help business get the most out of their sales force. Greg believes that a company’s sales team are one of their most important assets and by training them to work more effectively, can help any business grow, even in these tough times. Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively Re: Quick Ways To Utilize SEO Effectively - I'm with Alan on this one Mary, article marketing, social bookmarking and blog commenting are great ways to achieve one way backlinks. So is forum posting, submitting your blog to blog catalogues and making good use of RSS feeds. Remember to include good quality content and start building a name for yourself and you'll be well on your way to generating loads of backlinks. Take care, Carol

Re: Defamation of Your Business: What To Do? Re: Defamation of Your Business: What To Do? - If I were you I would do this... [quote:2a5rtu2h]I was planning on blogging about it (didn't decide whether to include the persons name or not) and explain the situation and what one person thought after reading a small line of text on my site. I would include the emails (again, not sure whether to include the name or not) along with my replies and clarify what is actually said and why this person was confused, clearing up any misunderstanding.[/quote:2a5rtu2h] But do NOT include the persons name! That is just asking for a war. It might also make you look bad to your readers as in they might be afraid you will "name and shame" them some day if you have a disagreement. If the person sees it and decides to reply with their name to make who they are public then that is their choice. But I think it's in your best interest not to do it first.
Re: What is the next step for me? And for you? Re: What is the next step for me? And for you? - [quote="Evan":qes8avgq]Congrats Ringo - what is the blog URL?[/quote:qes8avgq] Hi Ringo, When you login, you should go to your "User Control Panel", then hit the "Profile" tab and press "Edit Signature" to include your blog URL. That way, every time you post, your website will be listed under your content and it won't be viewed as spamming.
Are Economic Recessions Good for Franchising? Are Economic Recessions Good for Franchising? - As I understand it, when there are more corporate layoffs you have more workers looking into starting their own business. It makes sense in a backwards sort of way. My first impression is that Franchising would take a hit like everyone else... but the more I look into it: [i:35vhc2a9]The opposite occurs[/i:35vhc2a9]. There's a larger pool of very qualified workers that are disenchanted with the corporate world. They are often more than willing to take a bigger risk and seek self-employment, whether it's a franchise or not. In my opinion, there are lots of good opportunities out there, it's just a matter of doing your research and finding a nice fit.
