5 Simple Tips To Be More Productive

Most people are wondering "why was I passed over for that promotion" or "why are my customers choosing my competition"? I am putting in my time, spending money on marketing, why can't I reach that brass ring? Here are five simple things you can do to bring your "A" game in your profession or business.

1. The Power of the IPod.

This is a phenomenal device but most people just use it for music instead of a business asset. Amazon.com and Audible.com have a vast array of audible books on all topics of professions and businesses. Just think you go to the gym and while you are working out you are learning how to use social media to market your new product or following the newest trends in your profession.

2. Free Webinars

Now I know your thinking anything that's free is not worth spending your time on. On any given week there are hundreds of free webinars going on with just as many subjects. You may have to listen to a twenty minute pitch but if you glean one nugget of information that can get you closer to that brass ring isn't it worth it?

3. Lists

This is the easiest key to productivity. Each week make a list of what needs to be accomplished. This is important to keep you focused and on track and aide in your time management. How many times during the week do start something only to be sidetracked to something else? By keeping your list posted by your computer or in your phone it will add to your productivity.

4. Goal Board

A goal board is a must to have for your long range goals not only professionally but also personally. Your board may contain your exit strategy for your business, a retirement/vacation home, or a great vacation you want to go on. Make your goals realistic and attainable. Many people work so hard to get to the brass ring that once they have it they don't know what comes after.

5. Blogs

Blogging is the new information super freeway. Find and read blogs weekly of your competitors or piers in your profession. It will help keep you abreast of new technologies or new products that are coming out. It also gives you insight into what your competitions strategies are or invaluable consumer opinions.

Follow these five easy steps and that brass ring will be easier to reach.
