How to Lubricate Your Business.

All equipment requires preventative maintenance and your business is no different. A little care and consideration will go a long way to prevent problems. The smooth operation of processes makes the success of any venture more feasible. The leaders mindset and attitude affect everything about the business.

We have an old walk behind lawn roller that my grandson likes to pull around the yard. While we were outside the other day he went to it and began pulling it. He is almost two years old but is full of determination about anything he attempts. While watching him struggle with the roller I noticed the connecting points were rusted. We, my big helper and I, took the handle off and I applied grease to those places and he tried it again. He was still struggling a little when I saw the handle was bent causing it to bind. “We” again took the handle off, straightened it and reinstalled it. Now he was able move it with almost no effort, some lubrication and adjustment made the difference.

Do you feel there is something about your business that is causing a resistance to its advancement? If so, don’t feel like you are alone, most business owners and leaders have that from time to time. We get so involved with the daily routine of accomplishing the tasks of the business we forget to take care of the operation. We become consumed with supply and demand as well as customer service and internal affairs, we loose sight of the need to keep the wheels rolling smoothly.

The problem maybe, there is a lack of lubrication in your system. Your mode and routine of operation may have always worked fine but that doesn’t keep the gears of it from needing attention. All finely tuned machines require preventative maintenance for smooth continued operation and our businesses are no different. We must be aware of the places where processes can slow and hinder the desired progress.

Your question may now be, what is the lubrication for a business and how do I keep it applied? If all of your procedures and processes are in place and proven the only factor that can effect the functioning of your business are the people associated with it. Whether they are employees, team members, associates, affiliates or customers, their moral and attitudes will affect the efficiency of your operation. The lubrication required for their continued proficient support and participation is our actions toward them.

We as the leaders hold the solution to either help or hinder how well our business runs. Our attitude and the consideration we give every person will affect how they react to our guidance. Most people only desire common courtesy, which will cause them to support you more and work even harder. Things as simple as an occasional smile, a kind word, a thank you, or the acknowledgement of a job well done, show you care for them and notice their presence. Give this personal attention to everyone involved and begin to relieve the friction. Never treat others as if they are insignificant or less valuable than someone else, they may be the one who holds the key to the company’s success.

I don’t know about b2b marketing but I have done marketing so know things about it. I will suggest you to take online services which will spread your business all over web network. Online marketing is the best way to market any business.[/quote:428owzbi] B2B = Business to Business - You are marketing to other businesses. B2C = Business to Consumer - You are marketing to consumers.

A new study based on four years of data from men and women in a training program for microenterprises finds that they come out the same in quality scores. "However, women scored significantly better on the presentation of their plan to judges," conclude the study's authors, Ronald G. Cook, Paul Belliveau, and Christine Lentz of Rider University, in a paper presented at a recent meeting of the Small Business Institute. [/quote:ka7lg35i] What do you guys think?
