Live the Example You Teach

How often do we listen to someone give instruction on a subject and later find out they don’t follow their own teaching? These instances are most often noted with ministers in religion but can occur in every area of life. It seems we expect more from ministers than others and they are usually watched more closely, but the truth is they are regular people like we are.

The problem of not following your teaching is one that requires constant attention. We have had instructors who taught the proper procedure but themselves took short cuts because of their experience. This is understandable but to the student this is contradictory and confusing, we all want the quickest and easiest way but there are lessons to be learned from process. Taking a short cut defeats the purpose of training others the right way, if there is correct manner to achieve a result then that should always be done. Important items can be deleted cutting corners that are part of the desired product. I have seen this happen and when the quality was tested it failed and the entire inventory had to be destroyed. The lost value of the time and effort was more than the anticipated savings.

The most important loss is of a personal sort and is far greater than that of the material goods. Instructors are revered for their knowledge and ability, but when their slackness is known that respect is lost and is nearly impossible to regain. Every statement they make is questioned and doubted, their authority is ignored and any honor for their position is lost. Leading and helping others is a priceless asset, and must be closely guarded and protected. It is better to admit you don’t know the answer and verify it than to brashly reply so you ego isn’t damaged. Double-checking for correctness shows followers they need not remember everything and how to react in those cases. Everything a leader does is training for those they instruct and will be rewarded when done truthfully and correctly.

Be an example of what is expected of you, they may question what they have heard but what they see, they will believe. Walk what you talk, people will believe what you say when that is what you do.

How Quick is That How Quick is That - Just to let you know that as I'm not as sharp as I might be in the ftp sort of world, I had a problem today with uploading a new site. Hostgator 'Live Chat' fixed this for me in two minutes flat and didn't make me feel I was an idiot at all (at least anymore than I felt myself). As I'm in the UK and ringing early am for me here, I thought that 'Live Chat' might have been EST, so off for me, but no, they were there! BTW I'd spelt my nameservers slightly wrong - duh! Now that's what I call service. Regards.
Just want to say Hi! Just want to say Hi! - Hi all, First time here. Looking to get lots of fantastic business tips from all experienced and budding entrepeneurs. Live in London, hubby, 2 kids, 2 dogs. Manic!! But would love to get going this year with my own business.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.
Re: Balance - Make time for things you love Re: Balance - Make time for things you love - I agree to the importance of balancing a person's life. I know several people who seem to think that they were just put on earth to "bring home the bacon" and they'll do it at any cost. As a result, many of their marriages have suffered and children have been almost neglected. We once had a great guest speaker at one of our teacher in-services and he hit this very hard, as teachers tend to easily fall into the catagory of Live Off Balance; especially those that also coach. I will never forget his valuable motivational speech and have tried to keep my life balanced ever since. I look forward to checking into this subject futher and going to the links mentioned when I have more time. That's for letting us know about it.

Generate advert from his school business If he did it well in few months , he will be earning money to take care of his need[/quote:3icgsaj5] Lately, I've been teaching essay writing workshops for grade 6 to 9 students and I can tell you that having them start a blog would be a bad idea. At that young age, their writing skills are quite weak and no one would want to read a blog that's poorly written.[/quote:3icgsaj5] I will disagree with you on this point. Blog is not about polish english. It is about puttting your points on your blog. Teach them to write as if they are speaking to their friend. It is as simple as that. A 13 years old is making waves in UK as an affiliate. He was making more than $2000 per months. If they can play PS2 games successfully, they can write simple english
