The Entrepreneur Incubator

Entrepreneurs need a place to prepare for their new life of success. Each needs the care and attention of the unborn to become what they desire. If the conditions and surroundings aren’t conducive and supportive the attempt will be fruitless.

Consider an entrepreneur as an egg waiting to hatch. The owner of the farm knows the general type of animal his is raising but never knows its specifics. He doesn’t know the color, the sex, the healthiness or even the traits of the breed it will have. He knows it as an offspring of its parents and the rest will be known soon. Time will answer those questions and reveal its strengths or qualities, abilities and value.

In many cases the eggs aren’t left with the hens but are placed in incubators to monitor their hatching progress. We know the care of the mother is incomparable, but often they can’t prevent mishaps. I have seen them refuse to sit on the eggs, push them out of the nest, break their shells themselves, and leave the nest unprotected when a predator is near. When man is caring for animals we don’t always have the best means available but compensate the best we can. Hatching eggs is one instance where machinery designed for the process is used. It controls the temperature, humidity, provides protection, and turns the eggs as needed.

Like those eggs, if the entrepreneur is left with the hens or the layers there is no way to assure their successful “hatching”, they are vulnerable to any proposition or predator whether it’s beneficial or not. They believe everything they are told and accept the ways they are treated, thinking it is the way of the business. Many times there is no true means to their success and others have hidden agendas and only desire their personal advancement leaving them feeling deserted, discouraged and betrayed.

Entrepreneurs need an incubator. Some place they can have available the things they need to grow. A place where someone cares about their well being and how they advance toward full maturity. Where training, coaching and mentoring leads them where they want to be, warns of known dangers and helps guides them to their desired position. Many business sponsors do take their people “under their wing” but many don’t, leaving people to “break out of their shells” alone and hope they can achieve their own success.

When a person has an entrepreneurial spirit their desire and drive makes them susceptible to deception and misdirection. Do your due diligence when beginning a new endeavor, be sure the support and systems are beneficial to you. Search for an incubator so your time and efforts aren’t wasted, time is all we have, use it wisely.

I’m thankful I have found my incubator and hope you have or will too.

Despite being written up in the Toronto Sun, Metro News, Entrepreneur Start Ups Magazine and listed as a resource in Entrepreneur Magazine people in Toronto still don't know about us. Any ideas on what I can do to get people talking? Preferable ones that don't have a large price tag attached? Any ideas would be appreciated. Our URL is included in my signature.
