Today, The Best Day of My Life

Stating, “This is the best day of my life” may sound unusual but if we consider the basis of it we realize it is a truth that cannot be debated. We are living in no other day except this one and have only it to spend. Today will pass and whatever happened will remain forever, never to be available again. The best day of my life is today because it’s the “only” day of my life. I can’t change anything I’ve done in the past, I can merely learn from what happened in it. I cannot foresee the future and change anything that could possibly occur then. The only thing I can be sure about the future is, if I don’t make any changes it will basically be like every other day I’ve lived. Many days in my life have been great and I’m sure there may be others, but none can compare to today. Psalms 118:24 says “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” There are so many blessings we are given daily and take for granted; we don’t consider the importance of them or how life would be without them. The smallest thought of how things could be should cause us to have a thankful heart. We see the problems of others but those situations could be ours as well, we should give thanks for that blessing and pray for them as they endure theirs. Every day of my life is the best day, it is the only one I have and it is my choice to make it the best it can be. I can use what I have been given to help others and correct the undesirable things in my life or I can go along as others and only exist. The majority of people seldom make any change, they seem to feel it’s not worth the effort so why do it. Remaining, as they do, never wanting more enough to even try. They are satisfied to follow the same path they have always been on until it runs out or someone forces their detour and I question how they do it. Since we know today is the only day we have we should always use it to it’s fullest. Every minute we squander is a minute that’s wasted forever; time is the only thing that can’t be regained.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

So are you currently a member? And more importantly, have you tried to open a store front in that virtual world?
Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth -
People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
Re: Favorite Christmas movies Re: Favorite Christmas movies -
I do have to say I've never liked[i:1rxsgr0t] It's A Wonderful Life[/i:1rxsgr0t]. He spends all his life having his hopes and dreams shattered, feeling miserable, and its only at the end of his life that he can look back and realize how many friends he has, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that up until that point he was miserable![/quote:1rxsgr0t] I love the sentimentality around watching that movie with your Mom! Chtistmas is made up of all those sentimental things. "It's A Wonderful Life" is all about perspective, much in the same way that Scrooge is 'realigned' in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" - which I listen to on CD every year (sometimes twice!) Happy Christmas Everyone! Regards Martin
