Worth the Effort

Is it really worth the effort, you frequently ask yourself? Suffering the stress and pain of learning new things and forcing yourself to do them. Day after day working on your plan, waiting for things to change. Facing the looks and questions of others who doubt you and tell you so, feeling you think you are better than everyone else

We often have desires and dreams of how we would like things to be. These can cover the gambit of areas of life and normally do. We wish for bigger and better things for ourselves and for our families, for more time to do and be more for others and the funds to support those wishes. When the desire is strong enough we are willing to put forth every ounce of effort required to achieve those dreams. We must always remember that being willing isn’t enough we must put that willingness into action. That is when the effort is applied and the work begins.

We usually have no idea where to start and this is the first challenge. After we realize our need for information to guide us on our journey we create a plan to gain and utilize it. Once we know what to do and how to do it we must apply it in a consistent manner, never letting other things slow our determination. When we allow ourselves to be distracted by outside forces we loose our incentive to achieve our tasks and the momentum we have started dies. It is harder to restart procedures than it is to keep them active. That is why constantly working on your dream is critical.

With all the effort we invest sometimes our goal may never seem to get any closer. Our determination begins to fade and our willingness weakens, causing us to second-guess ourselves. We wonder if we were really meant to have our dream, our disappointment grows and we question why we even thought we could reach it. We sink back into the mindset we had before we began, feeling we should be satisfied where we are and should give up. This is exactly where our subconscious wants us, in the safety of our comfort zone. Don’t listen to it, push toward your dream, you can achieve your goal.

My answer to you is, yes, it is worth the effort. No matter what we must endure to accomplish our dreams we will never regret what we have done. The victory will be sweeter than any of the trouble we faced and the fulfillment of the goal will exceed the desperation. Never, never surrender to the pressures around you to quit, you can complete the quest and experience the untold rewards of success.
