Makings of a world leader

On sunday as I was cruising through the channels on my analogue TV set :) I came across an interview by Riz Khan on Al Jazeera, he was interviewing Klaus Schwab the founder and executive chairman of the world economic forum and a prolific social entrepreneur. The interview had progressed but I was able to catch some key points, when asked by Riz what makes a world leader, Mr.Schwab responded with the following answer:

"A world leader needs Soul, A Heart-which is passion for what he is doing, A good mind- knowledgeable about what they are doing and finally good nerves."

Riz later on asked him which leaders he admired the most and he named Nelson Mandela among others, "he is a leader who captures those four great qualities"....

Four great qualities, African business and political leaders must have.

Re: Wassup Obama Re: Wassup Obama - Hi there, I believe what happens in the US ie elections has world wide implications. Although we from abroad cannot vote, we can pass on the biggest vote to God, our maker and sustainer. So, I know many of us here are praying for you. We will never agree on everything a leader does, but they need some kind of support to increase their courage. Believe me, it takes courage to lead a nation like the USA, or for any country around the world. Wish you well.

If the entire world should be allowed to vote in the US election, I strongly believe that Obama is a total winner. UP! UP!! UP!!! OBAMA

Re: The Celebrity Apprentice Finale Re: The Celebrity Apprentice Finale - I really do understand what you are saying, Kevin. I'm complaining because ethics are very important to me. In the real world, I want people on my team who are easy to work with and that I can trust. To me, it's not all about money, but I do understand this is why Piers won. I feel it's important to find the best LEADER who can still make money. A great leader can inspire people on his/her team to use their creativity and all their assets in a very successful way. A sketchy leader could hinder this process in the long run. For example, Piers and Amarosa could be efficient, but working in a toxic environment with either of them could get to me in the long run! I like what you said about Carol... she has been my favourite to win for a long time. I would have chosen her for sure! She knew business was business, but she didn't have to be unethical about it. Quite honestly, Trace was not my choice to win, but he was a better option for me than Piers. I'd love to work with Carol any day. Who would you want to work with?
