TIDE-Innovation Series was officially launched last Saturday 8th September after a few hiccups and our inagural speaker was Dr.Manu Chandaria, Chairman of the Comcraft group which is valued at over 2$billion dollars, voted 3 times as the most respected CEO in East Africa, I don't think we could have asked for a better speaker.
I had envisioned that he would talk about innovation in terms of building new things but I was surprised and excited when he he decied to talk about Self Innovation and his use of real life examples help solidify the message. Self Innovation in his view involves challenging yourself to think and apply more of yourself, whether its from a business point of view or from a personal view, examining your current circumstances and moving a step ahead to improve them by adding value or just identifying that one special thing that was lacking before in your approach is Self Innovation.
All in all a very good and successful event as we got to engage him on a personal level, its amazing what you learn from a successful businessman that you never knew before.I'm looking forward to running the next event.
