SMEs The impact of the current power crisis in South Africa
The ANC have in 13 short years taken South Africa from developed to regressing. The current power crisis is impacting on all businesses in South Africa, but particularly on SME's.
Increased costs, reduced trading hours, and also reduced production hours for those in manufacturing, is killing the SME's in the country.
The failure rate among SME's is set to increase dramatically with many businesses losing 50% of their daily trading as a consequence of the power failures.
They have once again shown that Africa is incompetent by destroying the economy so quickly. The scary thing is that Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe are all suffering with us as they also get the bulk of their electricity from South Africa.
Once again they are lying to us as well. Although there has been a shortage, how did the system collapse over the past two months? I believe that due to a lack of skills they have damaged or destroyed capacity just as they did at the nuclear station in Cape Town. They just are not owning up to it.
This is another example of a government destroying an economy by pursuing political purposes only. The ANC has destroyed the skills base in the country with their racist employment policies just as the previous Nationalist government did. Racism in any form, when introduced into the economy, can only yield what we are now reaping. Economic chaos and failure.
