Happy About an Extra Hour Every Day by Nicolas Soergel

Some people are masters of managing their time, they multi task in ways that astound others. But, these skills are not common for most people. The majority of people struggle to get everything finished in their lives and work every day. I talk to many people who contend that I have more than 24 hours in a day. I wish that was true, but I have the same 1,440 minutes that you have - it's the way those minutes and hours are used that makes the difference. Over the last couple of weeks I've been thinking about this and taking a look around me and I've noticed that most of these people don't need cutting edge, unusual suggestions to help them get more done. In many cases - they need to be reminded of the simple things that will make a difference in their lives. That's where Happy About an Extra Hour Every Day comes in.

I've also noticed that the things that work for me - may not be right for you. So, first we need to understand

that different people need different strategies and tips.

That is one of the reasons why Nicolas Soergel shares 300 practical tips to help you learn to manage your time better. Out of those 300, each person should find 50 or more that works for them. These are quick and easy tips which will help remind you of things you should be doing throughout your day to manage your time better, in order to get more done. It is also a small book and a quick read - so you can pick it up to look for a new tip from time to time.

This is the Table of Content

Chapter 1 - Why We Need to Manage Our Time.

Chapter 2 - How to Use This Book.

Chapter 3 - Principles of Time Management.

Chapter 4 - How to Save Time at Home.

Chapter 5 - How to Save Time at Work.

Chapter 6 - How to Save Time on the Go.

Chapter 7 - Yes You Can.

But a neat element is on the page after the table of contents - its called a List of Quick Wins. Here are a few of these - they are simple, you know them but may have forgotten and only take a moment to use.

These are all simple tips and we all know we should do them, but sometimes we need a nudge to get us back on track. This is a great reason to read Happy About An Extra Hour Every Day. Time management is not rocket science, but learning to implement simple daily and weekly tips in your life will make a major difference for you.

Re: Q4 Triple Crown Winners! Re: Q4 Triple Crown Winners! - Well done to Alan for winning the Forum Posts competition last quarter and giving us a new first-time winner. Also, congrats to GT for appearing in the referred articles listings with a pretty respectable score as well. Scoring well in the referrals section is quite an achievement because not only do you have to refer people, but you have to find ACTIVE writers who will start publishing articles. Well done, Nicolas for publishing 129 articles in a single month! The productivity of the top publishers is so high that you need to think about an average of 2.5 or so articles a day to appear in the listings these days.
Re: When do entrepreneurs retire, if ever? Re: When do entrepreneurs retire, if ever? - Why would you ever retire when you love what you are doing? Sell the business and start another one maybe - but retire - NEVER! You should all read, The 4 Hour Work Week - By Timothy Ferris. He talks about building your business so that you can take mini 'retirement's throughout your life, instead of saving it all up for when you are old. Great concept - what do you think??
