Mastermind
Group Coaching goes now under the name of Mastermind.
Many coaching objectives can be met in a Mastermind group. It's a very economical way to find new possibilities in your business or business process.
Accountability is one - you take on an accountability, and you do it publicly. It presences the accountability beautifully for you, you've made an agreement not only with your coach but with the other group members, and you're very likely to keep it!
Secondly, as you listen to others deal with their problems, ideas come to your head unbidden - "that's how I could solve an entirely different problem!"
Third, it's significantly less expensive. Coaches can charge less because multiple players are involved at one time.
I'm now running several mastermind groups. Here's a testimonial from a Mastermind client in Texas:

BNI Groups - do they work?

From the members in my Mastermind Group I've heard a number of positive and negative things about BNI Groups. Just like a Mastermind Group, it all depends on who the people are. If the personalities fit and the members can add value to your business it can be worth checking out. The best bet is to go to a meeting as a guest to get a sense of who is in the group and if it is for you. It doesn't cost you anything except a little extra sleep the morning of.
