Growing up and now living in the Napa Valley and experiencing all that the Valley has to offer I am often asked for suggestions from friends and clients when visiting Napa Valley. I decided to share one of my top 10 itineraries with you. 10 Steps to the Perfect Napa Valley Day 1. Start your morning with a latte and light breakfast in downtown Napa at ABC Bakery. Popular with the locals and serves the freshest baked goods in town. 2. After breakfast visit copia The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts also located in downtown Napa and take a tour of the center and the garden tour is a must. 3. From COPIA head to Artesa winery located in the Carneros Region. The winery reminds me of a museum and I believe is one of the most attractive wineries in the Valley. The sweeping staircase with its cascading waterfalls is an amazing design. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on the terrace and take in breathtaking views of Carneros and the SF Bay. 4. From Artesia head over to Younville to Cuccina a la Carte for some cheese, meats and picnic fare. 5. From here head up Silverado Trail with your first stop at Pine Ridge Winery in the Staggs Leap region and take in a tour which includes their incredible caves and taste their award winning wines. 6. From Pine Ridge head further up the trail to Rutherford Hill Winery one of the top 10 best picnic spots in the Valley. Enjoy a wonderful picnic with great views of the west side of the Valley. 7. From Rutherford head to the little town of St. Helena (population 6,000), park you car on Main Street and take a walk back in time. 8. Before dinner stop in at Lounge 1351 right there on Main St. and enjoy a Charbay Blood Orange Cosmopolitan cocktail, WOW!
9. From the lounge walk over to Cindy Pawlycyn's (chef and owner of Napa's Mustard's Grill) and enjoy a great american homestyle dinner at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. 10. Head back to downtown Napa and end the evening at the Bounty Hunter wine-tasting bar. This is a great place to sit, relax and have a coffee or glass of wine and wind down after your long, wonderful day.
