The solutions to questions asked by an evolving people are different than the solutions to questions asked by barbarians. As Americans, it is more important than ever to ask ourselves meaningful questions about the events of the past month, and how we want for our world to be in the future...
This country was founded by-- and for-- evolving individuals, for Free People, for valuers of life and liberty and knowers of happiness. It was structured to serve a deeply spiritual people, without the shackles of politically organized religion.

And this country has developed according to its charter... like an enthusiastic kid, who brings his views ever loudly to show and tell. We've grown through the teenage years, absolutely proud, strong and mighty. We've prospered, and we've won the all home games...

And as adults, we've come to know that when Spiritual Benefit comes to call, sometimes its name is announced as Tragedy. And as the world can see after the events of last month, we are maturing in our responses, we are tempering our opinions and we are listening. We listen not to terrorists, but to higher callings that will show us how to be wiser, and definitely more effective...

A wise and noble people can influence the entire world, not by military might, but through great spiritual resource. A wise and noble people can see the difference between a faulty thought, and a faulty person. A wise and noble people can act with compassion, and use that power to transform not just things, but also to turn evil thoughts into healed realities.

We, as Americans, are bred to be that wise and noble people, and we have every spiritual resource to support us in becoming our destiny. Let us look at this tragedy, and learn from it thoroughly. Let us act justly, and let us love deeply. Let us keep our perspective on the time line of all of history, not just our moment in the sun.

Let us keep asking new questions as-- God help us-- we find better and better solutions...
