The Top 10 Beliefs That Transform a Life

Whether we think that we are hopeless or holy, alluring or estimable, our beliefs make a filter through which we experience our world. An empowered creed creates a powerful life; and transcendence comes from amending the beliefs that bind us. Infuse yourself with a potent psychological cocktail of belief … the following ingredients selected from the greatest leaders of our day…

1. I am guided.

Blessing us with relaxation, this belief calls forth the creative wellspring. Imagine not having to hyper-plan? Or having your own muse? Know that your brain is not the only authority, and breathe a deep sigh of relief.

2. Life is a gift

Or maybe a joy ride, a magnificent movie, or an amazing game…. Who can be great in a life that "sucks" or "sinks like a ship?" Remember, what you say about what life is IS what you receive. Make life a treat and be treated well by it.

3. Change is good.

Better than just accepting it as simply inevitable, seeing change as a positive force makes for a thousand and one happinesses in a lifetime of delight.

4. All actions are a gift of love or cry for love.

Depending on how you assess a situation, this belief will give YOU gratitude or compassion. Everyone wins either way.

5. Something created me.

Maybe after you were made they threw away the mold, but that doesn’t mean they also threw themselves off the cliff.

6. Time flies when you’re having a bad time/ time expands in joyous moments.

We can relive the good times in exquisite detail---stretching time by feeling the great times anew. Why not see to it that the tough ones pass fast?

7. This too shall pass

Perceive impermanence and relieve yourself from judgement. Good & Bad are a faltering team when you witness the strengths of Coming & Going. Perspective here always puts YOU in the winner’s circle.

8. Miracles occur

A sure-fire, hard-wire for awe and wonder. This makes life exciting and verifies the other beliefs you’ve chosen to apply.

9. Decisions are easy and action a breeze.

Two (or more) are better than one. Thank goodness we are at choice and have the privilege of jumping into the end zone of action!

10. My subconscious supports me.

Not a storm surge under a house built on stilts- your mind is a skyscraper built upon a foundation of stone. Your subconscious connects you to the deepest roots and supports you in your greatest heights.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.

So are you currently a member? And more importantly, have you tried to open a store front in that virtual world?
Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth -
People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
Re: Favorite Christmas movies Re: Favorite Christmas movies -
I do have to say I've never liked[i:1rxsgr0t] It's A Wonderful Life[/i:1rxsgr0t]. He spends all his life having his hopes and dreams shattered, feeling miserable, and its only at the end of his life that he can look back and realize how many friends he has, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that up until that point he was miserable![/quote:1rxsgr0t] I love the sentimentality around watching that movie with your Mom! Chtistmas is made up of all those sentimental things. "It's A Wonderful Life" is all about perspective, much in the same way that Scrooge is 'realigned' in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" - which I listen to on CD every year (sometimes twice!) Happy Christmas Everyone! Regards Martin
