Create Strategic Alliances with Other Business Coaches Can Increase Your Sales

Have you found it difficult to increase sales because you are a one woman or one man show as a business coach? The market will only allow you to command so much of an hourly rate. There are only 24 hours in a day and you still need some preparation time not to mention sleeping, eating and general downtime.

So what is an enterprising entrepreneur supposed to do? Find another coach and form a strategic partnership.

Now maybe you are thinking:

What are you nuts?
Align myself with a competitor?
I want to grow my business, not decrease my business.

Having a farming background, my wise and gentle grandfather told me many years ago something that has stayed with me forever. “One horse can pull a 1,000 pounds, but when I hook up two horses together than pull more than 2,000 pounds. Remember, there is always incredible untapped potential when two or more unite to achieve a shared goal.”

I have personal strategic alliances with other coaches not only in Indianapolis, but in Chicago, northern Indiana, Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, California and Florida just to name a few of them. For a percentage of something is always greater than nothing of something.

Of course to be willing to form a strategic partnership means you must leave your ego at the door. Also, you must find someone who has left her or his ego at the door as well. This strategic alliance does not function with two strong egos who each believe in being right.

And you must find other coaches or business consultants who share and demonstrate your code of ethics and conduct. For me that means finding individuals who are process driven, understand that their solutions must be measured against predetermined benchmarks and must strive to deliver a positive return on investment.

Now there are some so called business experts who counsel business coaches and business consultants not to team with other coaches or consultants. From my perspective, these individuals have big egos and would rather be right with nothing of something.

Simply speaking that advice does not put money in the bank and if you paid for such advice, shame on you. If you truly wish to get to where you want to go, it will demand that you do things that you have never done before. As always, the choice is yours.

Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional Online Sales and Marketing vs Traditional - Hi Evan, I am noticing that many of the posts in the Sales/Marketing section deal with online marketing, SEM and and SEO and Affiliates. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to separate that section into two; 1) Online Sales and Marketing; 2) Traditional Sales and Marketing
Business Innovation Business Innovation - Hi Simon If you can finish off the Business Plan and think about your strategic direction or how you are going to use your product to convince people it's a great idea, it will set the foundation for your programming project. You see, when you are looking for funding you will need a Business Plan and Strategic Plan that will convince companies to invest into your new idea. Has anyone achieved this idea before using another industry besides health and fitness that you know of? You should also design some mockups as a "preview" for your programming project. This will also help reduce your programming costs as everyone will know exactly what you want if you have detailed mockups already completed including any functionality you require. Starting mockups for websites and software applications on paper is the best way if you're not a guru in graphic editing software.
