Five Daily Marketing Habits to Increase Sales
Before you leave each morning for your office or upon
entering your home office, consider taking these 5 marketing behaviors or actions
so you can quickly begin to increase sales.
Marketing Action #1
Change your LinkedIn update.
Communicate to others what has happened in the last 24 hours. Make sure it is always professionals. Share a link you found beneficial or possibly
a quotation that you found particularly inspiring.
Marketing Action #2
Quickly check your email.
Sort what needs to be done within the next 2 hours, sometime today,
tomorrow or next week. Delete those that
have no alignment to your purpose, vision, mission or values.
Marketing Action #3
Post to other social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter
respective to what you are going, where you have been or what results you have
achieved. Remember your goal is to build
a relationship through educating. So leave your ego at the door. This is not
the time to be selling.
Marketing Action #4
Monitor your other marketing goals. Are you attending quality business networking
events, posting online social media comments, mailing thank you to follow-up
notes, etc. Depending upon your skill set write at least one article per week
as content marketing is still the number one marketing strategy being employed
by business to business firms.
Marketing Action #5
Review your calendar and make sure you have everything you
need for today’s activities. If your calendar does not automatically sync, take
the time to sync it.
To grow your business (think increase sales) requires an
ongoing commitment to effective marketing.
From a time perspective and from my own experience, 60% of your time should
be invested in effective marketing.
Once you established a daily "before you leave the building" behavior (think habit) specific
to your marketing action plan then you will begin to increase sales and keep
that ever necessary marketing funnel full.
