These are the ways to RELATE best with your prospects and customers, and involve ‘Pull versus Push’ marketing techniques

1. Have a sense of urgency and importance about yourself, not about other people. When you keep yourself urgent about doing the things that are important to you, this feeling translates. You don’t have to push others. People do NOT like being pushed. Instead, you can move or pull people along by being up to good things and by staying in integrity with yourself; this means, doing what you tell yourself YOU need to be doing in your life and in your business. Some people will follow your lead and your example, and these people turn into customers.

2. Have a love and enthusiasm for what you do and for who you are. People hear what you are saying but they also feel what you are feeling, and they will respond to your passion, your love and your emotion.

3. Make a list of benefits of your product and services and know them inside and out. People will want to know how they will benefit from what you offer; people feel good about making educated choices.

4. Be genuine, and translate to people that you really do care. The #1 need of people is to be heard and understood. If you do this, you win people over naturally. It is more important that you care about people then it is to make a sale right now today

5. Have no dollar signs in your eyes. People can feel it when you come to them with the ‘need’ to sell and this will repel them unless they have been sold on the product already.

6. Take nothing personally and stay flexible. Realize that every person has free will and you will not win everyone over. So what? No big deal. There are A LOT of people who will want the products and services you are offering. Relax into that truth. Not everyone will see it like you do and that’s okay.

7. Be happy and live a great life. People will notice, and they’ll want to know what you are up to. On the flip side, people are not highly motivated to buy products and services from those who are negative, uninterested or stuck in a rut. Be on your path to living a great life, no matter where you are right now and no matter what point you are starting. Being happy and having a great life is hugely attractive to yourself and everyone else.

8. MARKET YOUR TALENTS and product SHAMELESSLY. Feel and be incredibly proud of who you are and what you offer. Of all the things you could do in your life, you have chosen this path for a reason. Be proud of yourself for it. If you are embarrassed about what you do or about what you offer, you won’t be very attractive.

9. Make sure people understand the VALUE of what they are receiving. You could have the best product in the world, but if people don’t know about you and the value of this product, they won’t know how to get it. And if you put a small value on yourself or product, the rest of the world will not raise your price. Build belief in the product, know the product, and become bullet proof in your belief in yourself
10. Become magnetic and attractive to yourself. This means that you stop setting yourself up for stress and failure. Stop pushing and chasing after things and begin appreciating what you have right now. Stop doing what you know is bad for you and start nourishing yourself. Stop trying to meet everyone else’s expectations and meet your own. Stop trying to become someone else and enjoy being yourself. Stop having problems and start solving them. Do what you need to do to become attractive and vibrant to yourself.

I haven't had a chance to read all the replies and i have to jet from the office... I suggest marketing where ever your Target Market congregates. If it's a forum of concerned parents - go there. Strike up a deal with the forum owner (JV) and have him promote it to the list of members (Integration Marketing). If you want to go with Forums then i would partner with a parent who is a frequent poster/moderator on a particular Target Market Forum and have him/her add your link to their signature. That was just a thought but it's not as intense once you get buy in from the Forum owner or high ranked poster/moderator. Hope that sparks some new ideas.
