Key Management Insights - Thriving On Success

Whether you lead a huge global corporation, or a small team in a tiny office somewhere, your leadership passion will be what distinguishes you from the rest. Your example will be what your people watch - and follow - as they work towards the goals that the organization has demanded of the team.

By always seeking the very best results, in all that you and that team do, you will have the very best chances for success, setting the standard by which the activities and actions of each individual will come to measure themselves by.

Only through your leadership and the gung-ho charisma that you help pervade the culture within, will you get your message across.

"You have to be obsessed with success. And that feeling has to permeate the whole company." Dennis Malamatinas, CEO, Burger King

It's a not-so-subtle message that signifies the very best goals, delivered by the very best people, focused by you through the lens of enthusiasm and the goal. the work you do has a level of personal commitment that is the highest of the high.

(By the way, if it isn't, then you need to find out why you are there at all).

Obsession is a just way to describe the passion that is in all you do. Through obsession, your people will always be on the receiving end of the strongest possible corporate message.

A message that gets across what your organization is all about, as well as tailoring every decision you make, by the nature of how it stacks up as you measure it against the focus you have.

Remember, your leadership will guide everyone else on their path too. That's why it's called ‘Leadership' - leading the way for others to follow, as you generate a culture that will draw them along in your wake.

Are they going to do that with a fervor with a leader who is listless? Are they going to follow a leader with zero passion that they transmit?

Not at all; never going to happen. And it will be less painful for everyone if you tidy your desk right now, please.

With a leader who exudes passion, commitment and what's actually possible (or even more than possible) over the horizon, then yes, they will find followers who are there at their shoulder for the journey.

Leadership is about driving a culture on towards that ‘what's possible' vision so eloquently shared and visualized, because leadership is about you and where you are coming from.

Your passionate DNA has to be everywhere, becoming the obsessive way your team are.

Re: what position to request? Re: what position to request? - What do you think of: Executive Manager? Director of Product Management? I am not interested in working as a freelancer. As I mentioned, the purpose of what I am doing is to get involved into a startup that may become successful in the future. This is a situation when a group of people get together to launch something promising and invest into this their time and energy and even may be money.
