Meditation: Releasing anger Wherever you are, if you feel yourself getting angry-- take a walk away from the situation, or politely hang up the phone. Sit down, close your eyes and connect with your breath. Breathe in and out through your nose. Relax all of your muscles. Ask yourself why you were about to get so upset? Ask yourself if your ego was getting in the way? Ask if you felt you needed to defend yourself? Ask if you felt insecure in some way? Ask if there is a calmer way to communicate your feelings? Maybe you can ask questions to get more information. Ask yourself if you can express your needs without perceiving things in a negative way. Acknowledge how you feel. Express your feelings in a calm way without pointing fingers. Make a Request of how you would like things to be. Good luck.
