Life can change in one of two ways: either you choose to manage change or change ambushes you.
When you come from a place of choice, you choose the time and the pace - the when, the where and the how. Once you’ve considered the options and decided that your life must change, your actions can be proactive. You are focused and clear about your objective. You can then strategise, plan and deliberately follow through. This is controlled change from choice.
Alternatively you can dream about change, know that you need to change, but hesitate.
And while you are ruminating, something breaks or gives way and the ground beneath your feet opens and engulfs you in change. Not change from a place of choice but change forced upon you when you are least expecting it: a change in the opposite direction of your dream. And you kick yourself because of that missed opportunity when you had the choice and the chance.
If you know in your heart and mind that you need to change your life, why not do it while you can, instead of waiting until the ‘unexpected inevitable’ happens?
Harness your dream before you are ambushed by change.
