More Business Coaching Tips and Results – “Why Hire A Coach?”

In today’s competitive business world, one needs to be at the “top of their game.” The pressure of business can be overwhelming. Where can business owners, senior executives, executive directors of not-for-profits and others turn to handle the pressure and be powerful performers? My recommendation is to hire a coach!
And your question back to me is why hire a coach? In researching for this newsletter, I found Bill Cole, Founder & CEO of Procoach Systems in San Jose, CA. Bill is a leading authority on peak performers, mental toughness and coaching. You can learn more about Bill by visiting his website at www.MentalGameCoach.com and you can access an extensive article archive there as well.
In one article entitled “Why Hire A Coach? Ten Terrific Ways To A More Powerful Life,” Bill lists 10 ways a coach can help get you to the next level. I believe his list is absolutely “right on” based upon my coaching experience. The ten ways are listed as:
1. A coach can be a confidant.
2. A coach can help you see your blind spots.
3. A coach can provide objective feedback.
4. A coach provides another set of eyes.
5. A coach can keep you accountable.
6. A coach can be a sounding board.
7. A coach can be another source of creative ideas.
8. A coach can help you create your vision.
9. A coach can help celebrate your successes and be a
source of strength when you fail.
10. A coach can help you process life.

Is there a gap between where you are now and where you want to be? Would you like to grow your business and yourself to the next level? Could you benefit from having a coach to help you with: time management; building your business; solving problems; bringing more focus to your business using strategic thinking and planning; and developing a strategic action plan for you and your business? If you answered YES to any of these questions, please contact Glenn Ebersole at jgecoach@aol.com today to schedule a meeting to discuss coaching benefits for you and your company.

Re: Business Coaching Resources
- You're fortunate when you can find a Business Coach who has experience beyond where you've been and even where you are going. When your budget is slim and even after, it's good to have a mentor. Several of various backgrounds are very useful. They can be teachers, professors, pastors, business people, family members, bosses and former bosses.
You have to be clear on what you want and what you desire to achieve, be able to convey it as simply as possible. Stop and listen and don't over tax their time.
You should always expect results whether from a Business Coach or Mentors. If you're not gtting results, you're either not focused or you need to upgrade the quality of your mentors/coaches. Always surround yourself by people smarter than you.
Business Coaching Internship Review
- I joined in during the first phase of the internship and at this point we are committed to doing research and development of RSC Business Group operating in Toronto.
RSC Business Group already has products and services in Coaching Small businesses in Los Angeles but we didn't want to assume that the same products were wanted and needed in the Toronto market. Our goal at this point is to commit to interviewing 1000 business owners to capture this data.
Through the teleconference internship I've been involved in we've been focusing on Communication Skills and on active listening which are practiced when we conduct our interviews and Coach our clients when they come on board. This is a lot harder than it sounds!
Part of the internship is also creating the Toronto RSC Business Group's departments, job descriptions, Marketing and Communication plans etc that a business owner would create for their own company. This trains us in the way we would coach a company as well.
The internship is phased in two parts and there is compensation plan involved as well for the clients you personally bring in. These clients are coached directly by Robert Chun as you begin but you are given a chance to learn his techniques. I haven't gone through this experience yet though.
It's hard to explain Robert Chun's method of Coaching as it happens at a psychological level in his ability to listen and question the person being coached into the next steps they need to take.
The Teleconferences are 2 hours long but it's very interactive. If you have a desire to explore this area of Business I'd recommend contacting Vwodek listed above and get invited to a Coaching Conference call. You can decided then if it's for you.
Note: it is a commitment but the skills you walk away with whether you plan on working with RSC Business Group or not is invaluable.
Re: Business Women Peer Mentoring Spotlight
- That is a great idea, David. This is what I had in mind for the Women's section, but it makes sense to post in on the main site.
Of course, I'm waiting for some women to step up to the plate and share how they could use some support on taking the next step with their business!
If you are a Business Woman reading this, I invite you to consider that this is not displaying weakness in any form. Peer mentoring and Coaching is incredibly valuable. You get to bounce your ideas off others, hear perspectives from outside your own box, and feel the power of others cheering you on.
To me, it's wisdom to use all of our available resources to move towards business success. That's why I have my own Coach and my own Mentor Coaching Group. I also offer that to my clients. These are services one usually has to pay for and you could enjoy some of it free right here!
So who wants to start?
Can you tell I'm excited about the possibilities for you even before you begin?
Warmly,
Tami
What are you doing to grow your business Ladies?
- Hi Ladies,
I thought it might be great for us women to share what we are doing lately to develop our business(es).
I have now signed a lease on a new commercial space where my husband and I plan to open a Sport's Consignment and Cappuccino Bar. We're an active tourist destination and we also want to give back to our local community by offering discounted quality equipment. I'm doing lots of research and planning right now.
For my Coaching Business, I have signed up for a new coaching mentorship program by one of USA's top Executive Coach trainers, Drayton Boylston. He's sure to challenge me, offer continued professional development and keep me on track as I grow my Coaching business. I'm quite excited about the opportunity since you have to be invited to even participate in this group.
What are you doing lately or what are you planning in order to develop your business?
I'm hoping we can all encourage each other to keep our businesses growing.
Warm regards,
Tami
