How to Embrace Passion, Power and Purpose in Your Life

"Our chief usefulness to humanity rests on our combining power with high purpose. Power undirected by high purpose spells calamity, and high purpose by itself is utterly useless if the power to put it into effect is lacking."

~ Theodore Roosevelt

How to Embrace Passion, Power and Purpose in Your Life

It is sad to see people go through life without recognizing what brings passion to their life - the result is spending what could otherwise have been a full, rich life on things that truly don’t matter. It is important that we allow ourselves the time to think, meditate, pray, and seek direction for what we are to do that will put the passion, power and purpose in our lives.

How do you want to be remembered? Do you want people to speak about a lifetime of purpose and achievement? Have you ever attended a funeral and listened to the eulogy – only to ponder in the quiet sadness of that room what would be said at your own?

Maybe the best way to live our lives future forward is to think to the end we want, and work it all out backwards as our plan for moving ahead. Remember, however, only YOU can decide on who you are to become! It is a personal discovery about why you are here, and you must do the work necessary to believe what you are going to do with this one life you are given to live.

Living your life according to a purpose is not a new phrase; it is a life principle – a mandate, if you will, to help you live your life with passion, power and purpose. It translates to a belief that you use the talents your creator has given… turning them into a mastery of skills, which serve as the foundation for achieving your most passionate dreams.

Keep in mind that there are no limits to who you can become; the process only requires that you remain aware of three key tasks:

  1. Assessing and acting upon the things you would most like to improve about your life. Notice I did not say about you – that would be degrading yourself. You are OK; you just want to look at improving how you live your life!
  2. Understanding the need to grow – continually, and seek new opportunities to learn.
  3. Remaining open and flexible about the things that begin to come into your life. They will be disguised as problems at times, but will actually be opportunities to expand your possibilities – to understand your purpose, which will fuel your passion… which will give you amazing power to achieve..
People never improve, unless they look to some standard or example higher or better than themselves.

~ Tyrone Edwards

Take a few minutes and think about:

What one big beautiful dream have you perhaps left lying on the cutting room floor? How do you feel your life would be changed if you revitalized that dream? What one thing could you do in this day to create different results?

Complete this sentence:

I am passionate about .....

because it gives me the power to live my life in a purpose-filled way; a purpose which I now understand is to.....

Remember, I am always encouraging you to engage in positive, life-altering actions that will provide you with long-term, sustainable benefit.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.
Women Entrepreneur Tips Women Entrepreneur Tips - Thank you LeoOliveros, I found #4 particularly true in my case: 4. The Enterprise Must Include the Power of Power Networks. As a conductor of your own enterprise, you can not see yourself as a one-woman-show. You must choose to utilize the power people in your life, by asking for help when you need it, and effectively delegating in order to capitalize on your strengths and that of your power network. When certain experts are not represented in your power network, you must actively seek advisors or mentors and develop a team of specialists, so the benefits are received by everyone involved in the power network - the true Power of Power Networks.

Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth - [quote="Tami Szabo":292ze3jd]People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
