Are You Ready?

There are no random opportunities for those who follow the teaching of the law of attraction. We know that we can have intentions and learn how our words and thoughts create what is present in our lives. How we are feeling is the indicator of whether we are in or out of balance. Often people choose to give up on themselves while placing blame for failed expectations on others. Once you become grateful for what you already have you will begin to open the door for what if, and the possibilities begin to appear. To be able to identify opportunity requires understanding and vision of what we are looking for.

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.-Demosthenes

Are you ready for opportunity when it arrives? We can say we are open to opportunity, but at times our actions are different. Some people are living in denial and suspicion because deep within they really do not feel they deserve to have success. Often when we are launching a great enterprise, it is the small opportunities together that contribute to the results.

Are you expecting opportunities?
Is your personal vision crystal clear?
Do you have an intention?

People who have a clear vision will usually recognize opportunity when it knocks at their door. They open it eagerly and embrace it as a gift. Others who are not so confident will peek through the cracks of the door and perhaps only open it very slightly and then slam it shut before opportunity can come all the way in. Others do not even give opportunity a good look if it appears in a different manner or at a different time than they were expecting. They have formed opinions in their own minds of how opportunity must look when it arrives and they miss it entirely.

Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.-Thomas Edison

Many say it seems to too hard or elusive and work is always involved in anything we do. When opportunity presents itself, are you willing to do what it takes to grab onto it? At times it may require doing something unplanned, uncomfortable or unexpected.

In observing people who seem to always be ready to jump on the train of opportunity one main characteristic is that they are typically open-minded. They do not have any preconceived ideas that may prevent them from accepting the gift of ideas that spark possibilities. They often recognize that many opportunities appear small at times and are really stepping stones to larger achievements. They can also appear in unexpected circumstances, and we must be ready and willing to act on them without delay or denial. Positive people do not allow anything to stop them while in pursuit of their passion!

Today we are living in the possibilities we created yesterday. Are you eagerly expecting opportunities? Will you recognize them when they come? Many will grow fearful or weary and give up at the door of their opportunity. Many times there is only one more step or one more day or just one more push! Be ready for that opportunity and prepare for it and decide today you won't quit.

Your big opportunity may be right where you are now- Napoleon Hill

Re: Make sure you're a corporation Re: Make sure you're a corporation -
Here's another suggestion from my experience - make sure your company is set up as a corporation. If you're going for angel or VC financing, they will become equity owners in your business. For this to happen you need to have a corporation and a shareholder's agreement. I've seen a lot of deals fall apart because the business was not ready with their corporation. They were sole proprietorships and had not given any consideration to a shareholder's agreement. It makes you look like unprofessional and can seriously detract from your capital raising initiatives.
I agree that one major step in being "capital ready" is to create a separate entity. In the US that traditionally means forming a Coproration, although the LLC approach is becoming a viable option. However, just being a Corporation (or LLC) doesn't mean you are Capital Ready.
