Powerful or Just Busy?

You can...

Or, you can... Your choice.

What is more powerful? Has impact? Gets you somewhere (and others along the way)?

Being busy isn't being successful.

Re: Is it worth buying a Dell computer with financing? Re: Is it worth buying a Dell computer with financing? - Depends on how powerful a computer you are getting. Most people can buy a powerful computer these days for just $500! (Of course, you no longer get software bundled in... that's what costs the money these days...)
Re: Poll: Video Marketing Online, Do you use it? Re: Poll: Video Marketing Online, Do you use it? - Hi all, video marketing is very powerful and will really help get your content out there. A great little tool you can use on your pc is JIng pro, costs about $14 for a year subscription and allows you to make quality screen capture videos, very useful for tutorials and things, I use them a lot when i work one on one with my students. Having said all this, one thing that I would like to add is that yes video is the in thing at the moment and undoubtedly is very powerful as your prospect can see you and hear you, but one thing a lot of people forget really is that it is just a medium for carrying your message. Creating the right message and having something of value to say is what determines your success in marketing, online or offline for that matter.
Re: When is your interest peaked by unsolicited mail? Re: When is your interest peaked by unsolicited mail? - In "The Copywriter's Handbook", author Robert W. Bly emphasizes that effective attention-getting words are ones that offer news. For instance, Bly says "Headlines that give news often use words such as new, discover, introducing, announcing, now, it's here, at last, and just arrived...Free is the most powerful word in the copywriter's vocabulary...Other powerful attention-getting words include how to, why, sale, quick, easy, bargain, last chance, guarantee, results, proven and save" (pg 17 & 18). However, I feel as if all of Bly's keywords are over-used and audiences have learned to ignore them in unsolicited email headlines.
Survey the Landlord Survey the Landlord - Terry, my suggestion is simple but powerful - Survey. Survey Landlords and find out what is important to them. By doing this it does two things: 1. You will find out trends/under-operated services that Landlords are currently unsatisfied with = your client will be able to fulfill 2. You are infact Marketing your clients services by doign this because when you are approaching your landlords it not a sales pitch and they have someone to clear their frustrations with. Then when you approach them after a month (when you've put your numbers together and identified services that are most important) you can remind them of the survey and share with them the results. At this point you can end with an offer to use your clients services to manage their property. I use this method with my clients who are looking for new services to develop in thier markets. It's simple but powerful.
