Ambassador/Communication Skills Mastery and the Power of Words

A few years ago, I was interviewed along with five other image and etiquette consultants to train the entire staff of a large hotel in Toronto, Canada. At the close of my interview, I said "I'd be simply delighted to work with you and train your staff."

The words "Simply delighted" were the tipping point and won me the contract with this prestigious hotel. The Human Resource Director later told me that the words "simply delighted" were mandatory words to be used by all staff members when interacting with all hotel guests.

Other powerful words to position yourself for greatness are:

Your commitment to perfection always impresses me

Thank you so very much

You have been a wonderful friend

Think, act and behave like an Ambassador. You are an Ambassador for yourself, your company and your country. In a world of average, you can shine above all others and be recognized, promoted and acknowledged as a person of excellence.

In today's highly competitive and ever-changing business environment, it is not enough to treat clients, associates and staff the way you would like to be treated. Understanding each individual and how they would like to be treated is the key to successful business and personal relationships.

The foundation of personal and professional success lies in understanding yourself and others.
