Enhanced People Skills - the Key to Greater Success in Life

Enhanced People Skills - the Key to Greater Success in Life You have probably met people for the first time and you had instant rapport and positive chemistry with them. Have you ever experienced a personality conflict with someone? What could possibly account for these two extremes?

With a slight modification of your behavior, you can establish rapport and trust with anyone. There are four main types of behavior in people.

Dominant: These people are the achievers, with a focus on the bottom line and a no nonsense approach to life. They accept challenges and take a leadership role even without the title and they are task oriented. To interact more effectively with them provide short, concise data, state the facts, pay them sincere compliments and show them how to win. Let them be the final decision maker.

Influencing: These people want admiration and thrive on compliments and praise. "It's not just about winning or losing, it's how you look when you play the game." Their strengths are friendliness and enthusiasm. Focus on the "big picture" when interacting with them and avoid conflict.

Supportiveness: These people are people focused and enjoy quiet praise and recognition. They make great support people and are very comfortable with routine. To interact with them more effectively phase change in slowly, show sincerity and praise them.

Conscientious: Their strengths include dependability, follow through and accuracy. They are task focused and need lots of facts and details before making a decision. They like to see things in writing. To interact more effectively with them provide information using the "why' and "how" words.

You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.
