Fear of small defeats makes us avoid small opportunities. When we avoid taking a chance on those small opportunities, we don't have a chance to win small successes. Every big success is made up of a series of small successes. The price of avoiding the risk of small defeats or failures makes us even more reluctant to take the big risks in life. Apathy grips us when we realize that winning big in the game of life involves risk. Indecision robs us of our opportunities and lack of purpose destroys our resolve. It is essential to have a purpose and a very clear idea of our desired outcome. People with a purpose respect themselves and they are willing to pay the price of success. People with a purpose are prepared to work effectively and efficiently to create their desired outcome. They persevere, they are prepared and they operate from integrity. They are prepared to make the extra effort to obtain their desired outcome and the success that may elude others. Everything you say, think and do gives you a mental boost towards a day of optimism. Concentrate on all of the good and wonderful things that are happening to you. Choose positive words to describe everything. The weatherman says it is going to be partly cloudy today. Instead he could say it is going to be mostly sunny today. Traffic lights are red, yellow and green. We call them stop-lights. Perhaps we should call them go lights. If you are exposed to people that are pessimistic, we ma pick up their negative attitudes and they will rob us of our joyous and positive attitude in life. You are known by the places you frequent and the people you associate with. Live a life of abundance with a positive and happy attitude. Attitudes are contagious. Is yours worth catching?
