I received this email from a dear sailing friend and wanted to share it with you.

Dear Gloria, a year ago, if some one said that in the next year:

you will go to England and get your Captain's license

you will sail in theSea of Cortez and almost touch a whale

you will take18 friends on your boat to see the Detroit Fire works

you will take 20 friends on your boat to see the Red Bull Air Races, on one of their only 6 stopsin the world

you will sail on a winning boatin the Chicago to Mackinac Race

you will take your boat to a antique wooden boat show and will a trophy

you will pick up a 50 ft Grand Soleil in Lake Michigan and take friends and family through thefamous North Channel

you will sail up to see your daughter in the North Channel

you will takeanew Crew member and hertwo daughterssailing forthe weekend

you will take your sailing crew out on this 50 ft' for a great sail on the last race of the season...plus throw in a lot of socializing and sailing with friend and family spread through out the year

you will be invited to the sailing awards banquet in Chicago, the winterOlympics in Whistler, British Columbia, to Singapore and Dubai.

I am going to catch the last few sailing days of the sailing season with him and his friends on the Great Lakes. Then the sailboats will be hauled out for the long Canadian winter. Some of these beautiful sailing ships will be stored and covered. Others will hauled in to the huge sheds for repair and perhaps a new paint job.

This ambitious, wonderful man is my brother, Paul Dezell.

The seasons of life can be compared to the seasons of the year. There is a time for rest, reflection and renewal. There is a quiet time to look deep inside and adjust the rudder of your vessel. There is a time to dance in the sunlight of spring and then enjoy the fluffy clouds that summer brings. Autumn is the time of harvest and it is my favorite time of the year. It represents abundance.

There is a magic in all of the sea sons of the year and the seasons of life. Life brings challenges and I have learned to look deep inside of me for the answers. Sometimes life is just too busy. Quiet time allows us to look deep inside for the answers to the challenges that life brings.

I have been self-employed for 25 years as an image, etiquette and communication coach. Each and every year, the business changes. My goals are different, client's needs change, the world becomes accessible through the internet and clients select me as their coach and mentor.

A small town girl with a big dream. I learned to say "yes" to all opportunities. YES to working at the Pentagon, King Abdullah's Palace in Saudi, yes to coaching Presidents of Middle Eastern companies, yes to Cunard Cruise Lines and hiking the Great Wall of China. YES, to Brazilian dancing in Rio, yes to the parents of teens that needed outside guidance. Yes to a trip to South Africa as a guest lecturer with Princess Cruise Lines and yes to working with the family of His Highness and Ruler of Dubai, the City of Dreams.

My life has been abundant and filled with constant and never ending change. I have learned to thrive on change and challenges.

Look deep inside yourself for the answers to life. Operate from a knowingness and say "yes" to the opportunities and challenges that life presents.

The answers to life's questions can not always be found from others. Look deep within you and operate from integrity.

Re: How can I promote my site? - I agree that SEO is the best way but you should not rely on it solely. Find a few different methods that work for you and use them together.
Re: Contact Information - Another idea would be to have an email form in place to accept "ticketed" inquires (if people are afraid of spammers seeing their email address). However, I hate how some sites try to persuade you out of sending an email by bombarding you with lists of "Frequently Asked Questions & Answers" as I find they're rarely helpful.
