Recipe for a Great Life

Recipes and formulas have their place in life however, the big rewards in life go to those people that color outside the box, add extra seasonings to the recipe and refuse to settle for average. I love cookbooks. They are so colorful and so inspiring. I select a recipe and the first time I use the recipe, I follow the instructions. After that, I never use the recipe. I create a magical dish using my senses of visual, olfactory and gustatory along with my memories of the first time I made the recipe.

Life is also about how something looks, how things smells and how things tastes. Add the other two modalities of hearing and sensing and everything in life is a vibrant experience! Your perception is your reality. If you think you can do it, you can. If you think you can not do it, that also becomes a truism.

Emotional Vampi res, you know those kind of people that are filled with gloom and doom. The people that rain on your parade and always look at all the reasons why things won't turn out well. I personally have eliminated all of the emotional vampires from my life, perhaps you should as well.

I live each and every day with joy and sunny skies and know that a rainy day makes the flowers grow.We all make choices. So color outside the lines, live your dreams and remember, it is up to you to create a wonderful life.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.
Re: The Way We Were Re: The Way We Were - Great post Mal. Shared it on FB. Although I am not old enough to be in that generation, I still have respect for the way it used to be. Life is too easy these days!

So are you currently a member? And more importantly, have you tried to open a store front in that virtual world?
Re: What works for you? Re: What works for you? - Great question. I tend to come from the perspective that I pretty much control the pressure and stress in my life. I've found it helpful to prioritize what I need to do and focus on the things I love. The more attention I pay to my true interests the better results I get and the more fun I have. Life becomes a joy instead of a chore. [Link removed by forum admin]
Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth - [quote="Tami Szabo":292ze3jd]People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
