Visions: An Arial View of Your Ideal Golf Course

Are your goals taking you where you want to go?

How do you know? Read your vision!

Don’t have a vision?

Write one now and you will have one to read next year.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How clear are you on what you really want?
Here’s a simple 15 minute exercise to do with a friend to prime the pump: have them ask “What do you want?” repeatedly. Then start writing about what your ideal life feels like, looks like, and sounds like. Imagine success and write about what you are experiencing and why you love it. Write about what is really important. Write a story for yourself. When you’re finished, read it and check to see if you touched on these topics: your home, relationships, health and wellness, work, personal pursuits, play and recreation, spirituality, and making a difference.
Why take the time to do this, you ask. The simple answer is that you will need to have a vision before you can set goals. Let me use golf courses as an analogy to explain.
When starting out in golf, many of us start by playing a short and easy executive course – par 56. We then move on to playing a par 65 or easy full size course. The next step for us serious golfers is to look for a well groomed, interesting and challenging course. However, ask 20 golfers and you will get no consensus on which is the best course. The only area of agreement will probably be Pebble Beach . The point here is that everyone is unique and so is our choice of what makes a great golf course. The other point is that without the Pebble Beach vision, you could be limiting yourself to playing the executive course eternally.
One of my golf coach’s favorite sayings is “If you can’t see it then you can’t hit it.” If you haven’t thought about it, you certainly won’t be able to hit it. If your goals are not in alignment with each other, you will be working hard and not feeling the enjoyment, and you will certainly find it difficult to realize your vision. Everyone is unique and so is our vision of what makes a great life. Whatever your vision, you owe it to yourself to know the possibilities and your capabilities.
Your Career Vision
Over the years, I have supported many people achieve clarity about what they love to do best in their business. Is it business development, people development or is it operations? I help them define the piece of their growing business to which they would love to devote their time and the pieces to outsource.
One final thought I want to share: I just read the vision I completed in 2005 and an earlier version from 2001 when I began my business. The 2001 version was simpler and less compelling. The 2005 version is a much bigger dream with clarity and heartfelt passion. Reading my vision brings tears of joy to my eyes and I can honestly say YES, that is what I truly want.
You too can have this feeling once you define your vision. Start today. Know what is in your heart and have a vision before you set too many goals. When you know what the big picture looks like, you will choose to play your game in a way that gives you the most enjoyment and satisfaction.
Supporting you to See Success,
Jacque
Re: Just Saying Hello Re: Just Saying Hello - Hi Camil, Welcome to the forum. You have a great mentor, one of the best, he has been a great help to me and many others. You found a very good niche, Golf, is very popular niche, but you need to redesign your website, I suggest using a WP based website, because right now your website is a long sales page and not very friendly, I wanted to click out. Pay Per Action can be a good solution for you and if you still want to use PPC, try MSN system, and not Adwords, it will be cheaper. The main thing is to keep a budget, and never spend a cent more. NEVER! if you know how much you are going to spend, there wil be no surprises. Good luck
Re: Autoresponder v Blog Feed Subscriptions... Re: Autoresponder v Blog Feed Subscriptions... - They get updates by email only. Your question prompted me to check out the Feedburner email subscription page and I noticed down the bottom that you CAN view the email addresses of your subscribers. Feedburner.google.com => Publicize ==> email Subscriptions: scroll down to the bottom and click "View Subscriber Details". You can also modify the first email notification that goes out, include a link to a logo for branding purposes and set the time of day you want the updates to go out. Pretty neat! DH
Re: Question for the Masses Re: Question for the Masses - Okay, millions, first I would like to tell the members of the forum I come from(Kenya) and US$ 1million is equivalent to Kshs 80Million. This money can buy 2 houses each 6 bedrooms in one acre of land in the poshest areas in Nairobi (The capital city). This would make me the neighbor to the current and the retired presidents, the head of European union, the richest people in that country just to mention. If I don't buy those houses, I would but over 10,000 hectares of land in the fertile areas and become a coffee farmer, selling my coffee to Starbucks and the like, making me even more richer. If I don't want to become a coffee farmer, then I would convert the land to one of the biggest golf course that even Tiger Woods would pay to play. I don't know well what I would do with many more millions of dollars, but with only one million dollars, then I would invite all the members of this forum to come play Golf in my huge golf course.
High price of entertainment High price of entertainment - [quote="OmnivoreInk":2hbjfazw]Why are Broadway tickets so expensive?[/quote:2hbjfazw] Hi Barbara, Maybe it's because the building lease is expensive too? But in truth, I think [u:2hbjfazw]ALL[/u:2hbjfazw] tickets (whether it be for Broadway or a sporting event or concert, etc.) are so expensive because consumers are willing to pay. So as a business person, why not charge as much you can get away with? My friend was just at Newark’s Prudential Center to see "UFC 78: Validation" this weekend where tickets were priced at $500, $300, $200, $100, $75 and $50 (facility and service fees may apply). He was treated to the $200 seats by his company, but he still spent most of the evening watching the fights from the giant screen! Don't you find it ridiculous how $200 seats aren't even close enough to the action to see with your naked eye? Wouldn't it be better to just order the Pay-Per-View and watch it from home for $39.99 then? Furthermore, my friend told me that a t-shirt he wanted to get was priced at $20 more (at the venue) than on the online store!
