Do You Believe in Easy?

Guest post by: Jeanna Gabellini

Article Overview: There are those of you who want it to be easy but you can’t find your sweet spot. You might believe (fill in the blank) can be easy, but you’re not used to it being easy. Therefore there is an expectation that something will not go according to plan. You fear somewhere in the back of your mind that you won’t be able to pull it off.

Do You Believe in Easy?

Over the years, I’ve had many clients who say, “I always get what I want, but it never seems easy.”

All struggle is about mindset. You may think you just had bad luck or random acts of technical glitches, but it all comes down to what you believe. There is nothing that can’t be traced back to what you were thinking.

Struggle can show up in many ways…

I have a plaque on my wall with this quote from Tennessee Williams, “Luck is believing that you’re lucky.” The same goes for living on ‘Easy Street’. You’ve got to believe that it’s possible to have major goals and desires manifest easily so that things seems to fall into place without hard effort.

Yes, I know that some of you think that you’re not worthy of success, money or love without some hard work involved. There are those of you who think you’re being responsible or admirable when you work your tush off.

But what about those of you who want it to be easy but you can’t find your sweet spot? You might believe (fill in the blank) can be easy, but you’re not used to it being easy. Therefore there is an expectation that something will not go according to plan. You fear somewhere in the back of your mind that you won’t be able to pull it off.

You know why some things in your life are easy? You don’t even give it a second thought.

I water ski every Friday and many times I have people in the boat who have never pulled a skier. I never worry about them being able to pull me out of the water. I’ve been skiing forever and it’s not a big deal to me to have a skilled driver. I get up every time. I don’t contemplate the scenario of not getting up. This is also why I skied into my third trimester with both of my pregnancies. Skiing is fun and a no brainer in my mind.

It’s all about perception. Now, you can’t always go from struggle to easy in one try. Especially if it’s a topic where your emotions run high.

Your first step in making the shift is not to see the desired outcome as a huge deal. Would it be cool to double your income? Hell YES! And, what if you didn’t relate to it as a big hairy deal or miraculous? What if you saw your money goal as just another number that you’ll mosey up to and make friends?

What if you paid less attention to getting your outcome and tuned into what you’re being called to do in this moment? What if you allowed your Inner Guidance to suggest your action steps rather than your ego, fear or head?

Easy is a good thing. Easy is a mode. It’s supposed to be easy. I’m just sayin.’

Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - When I came back to Japan in 1999 I sometimes used to ask my students if they would buy anything on the Internet and at that time most thought it was too risky. I'd encourage them to try by using well known sites such as Amazon.co.jp and also pointed out that using a credit card on a reputable site was safer than using it at a restaurant. I can't remember the last time I had that discussion or when the "tipping point" occurred in Japan. To answer your other question, I use Paypal for several reasons: 1. Brand familiarity 2. Easy to use 3. Free to withdraw 50,000yen+ to my Japanese bank account - a huge benefit (but maybe other systems also offer that...?) 4. Easy to cancel subscriptions On the down side, their transaction fees are quite costly, they are difficult to contact and when disputes arise you can sometimes lose even when you can prove via your tracking service that the disputed item was "delivered" to the customer's address!
Re: Domain name sugestion Re: Domain name sugestion - Hi Anelly, Support-Box.com sounds very good to me. Easy and catchy.
Delegating Delegating - Good info and interesting list. Easy to see how the authority or power is slowly passed to the person - the secret would be knowing WHEN to move to the next step. I like to avoid people who are stuck at the #1 level. Chris
What makes you keep coming back for more? What makes you keep coming back for more? - I am researching on personal preferences that keeps the visitors coming back to a web site. What would be great is if people would list out their preferences of what keeps them interested to keep visiting a website in order or importance. For me it is:- 1. Content – Value, Depth and Recency of Information provided 2. User Friendliness – Easy Navigation, Simple graphic design etc. 3. Service – download time, contactability etc.
Re: Winners vs. Losers Re: Winners vs. Losers - Thanks Evan May I add Winners have a passion for success Winners have positive mental attitude Winners are committed Winners see problems as opportunities Winners love the challenge (of difficulties) Losers Easy to recognize - I try to avoid them; attitude, commitment, body language, participation, procrastination, fear, ....
