Internal Complaining

Do you ever hear yourself talking to someone and noticing that you’ve been completely focused on what is wrong and why it sucks? Then, you notice that you don’t feel very good about it and want to change the topic to something else entirely.

Yep. It’s normal. We all do it. Complaining isn’t a bad thing. It’s just that when you do it for long enough, you actually begin to create patterns.

Let’s take the topic of time, as an example. If you continually complain about not having time to do your work, take care of the house, visit the people important to you, or get around to handling all the little stuff, you will notice that you have less and less time.

You’ve now changed your relationship with time as a result of putting your focus on the lack of it. You’ve created an emotional vibration for lack of time, therefore, attracting more things that eat up your time.

When you complain, you are saying that you are not at cause. You are a victim to something you don’t like. Complaining out loud isn’t half as bad as the complaining you do in your head. The internal complaining (some might call it whining) is done on a more consistent basis with less conscious awareness of it.

The complaining begins to be a normal conversation in your head that you begin to buy in to as the truth. And it is your truth and reality when you believe it.

When you become aware that you are continually irritated by something, it’s a signal from your inner guidance to do something about it. I had a client who was always in angst about not seeing his children enough after he separated from their mother. He would get emotionally worked up every time he thought about them. It ignited a feeling of lack of connection and influence with them.

My advice was to make a choice. Either do something about connecting with them more or stop complaining. Complaining is a way of being complacent or sitting on the fence. It also brings you down emotionally and then you are less attractive to all the desires you’ve been seeking.

The tough part is that you may not even realize that you are internally complaining.

If you say any of the following to yourself several times a week, you’re complaining.

My advice? Make a choice. Surrender to your reality and make peace with it or do something different. If you want to do something different you may have to bite the bullet and have a hard conversation, hire someone to help you, or create new practices. But for goodness sake, stop complaining. There is no benefit.

All work and no play.. All work and no play.. - Let us enjoy this business joke to end 2009 A dying Business Man A businessman on his deathbed called his friend and said, "Bill, I want you to promise me that when I die you will have my remains cremated." "And what," his friend asked, "do you want me to do with your ashes?" The businessman said, "Just put them in an envelope and mail them to the Internal Revenue Service. Write on the envelope, "Now, you have everything."

On page-factors are influential and we always need to remember that it's the basic SEO essentials are the ones that carry you through for years. All keywords are graded on a curve, so there some keyword phrases where if you have done solid keyword research you'll spot the "low hanging fruit" or phrases than can be used to optimize a page with even as few as just 5 or 6 on-page influences. Theses types of phrases will be ones that are not competitive, but still have fair popularity in search. This is truly the stress free to gaining traffic. As you go after more common competitive phrases you will need to take the specific competitive landscape into account for the higher volume phrases. The smartest SEO strategies use a balance of all of the influences to relevancy (both the on-page and the off page factors.) Every time we teach some advanced SEO technique, we continually remind our Workshop students not to get carried away with just one strategy, regardless of how powerful it seems to be. Your end result if you use everything together properly, will be stable top organic visibility for years and years.
Organization Tips Organization Tips - HI Guys, I thrive in a well organized space. At our office we use coloured files and folders for specific topics. Yellow for client, Blue for Internal, Green for Financial and Red for Sales Information. Its a great way to find stuff fast and easy. The other thing I did a few years ago was hire a professional organizer. She spent a week at our office learning about the 'flow' of work and then helped us develop systems for managing paper and information. For example, I am a visual person which means I need to see things. All active client projects are kept in a standing file on my desk. It may not work for everyone but it works for us. Backing up your computer data is an absolute must. We run tape back-ups every night and even though it costs more, it has come in very handy on a few occassions. We also archive and store all client files once a project is complete so we always have a historic capture of everything we've done. If you want, take organization a step further and reorganize your filing system on your computer. Under each client main folder they have sub folders for correspondance, plans, status reports, financials etc. I borrowed it from my lawyer friends office. I loved that each piece of paper seemed to have a legend at the bottom of where exactly it was filed. That way, anyone can come into my office and figure out our system simply which cuts down on the amount of training. It also helps that I can shout out, bring me the network key information and everyone knows where it is. ;0) I have a great friend who is a professional organizer if anyone needs real help. She also does basements and garages!
