Joy Trumps Massive Action

There are several circumstances that kick us into high gear. That gear where your mind says, "OH MY GOSH!! I've got so much to do to make this happen." Some circumstances that my clients report massive action overdose are:

So, I'm sure being the mover and shaker that you are, you can add many more action stimulants to this list.

It is very important to avoid the frazzled state that comes with massive action overload. You may be asking yourself if this is even possible. Not only is it possible, it's a crying shame to have it be any other way than an easy, flowing process to get the job or preparation done.

You have to start with a bit of strategy. Always start with the end in mind. What is your ideal outcome for this event or project? How do you want to feel during the execution of it? It's not okay with me that you get all amped up in a negative way when you have something big in front of you. Totally unnecessary. Really!

Next, you've got to write all those actions down. Get them out of your head and on to the paper. Don't delay this step. You instantly feel grounded by making a list. Then, check to see if all of your action items are congruent with your ideal outcome.

Delete any actions that don't really need to be done to get your desired outcome.

Can you delegate any items? I know this one is hard for all you do-it-yourselfers and don't-want-to-impose-on-anyone types.

Now, after all that is complete, you have to make a decision that you're not going to worry about getting it all done at this moment. In fact, you need to make a decision to do the things on the list that will give you the most relief first. Then go for the ones that seem easy or fun. Don't get attached to the order in which you "think" they are supposed to get done..

You see, you feeling joyful or at ease while being in action is the only thing that will make this job get done in excellence. It will also keep you sane. Feeling good trumps massive action when it comes to manifesting things in a speedy and delightful way. And if getting the job done with ease isn't one of your ideal outcomes, then you need to shift your tolerance for pain. The easy way out is always the best way.

Hi Everyone! Looking for great mathy entrepreneurship books Hi Everyone! Looking for great mathy entrepreneurship books - I'm a young entrepreneur who's primarily interested in sustainable technology. As an engineer, I'm also fascinated with the math and statistics behind entrepreneurship. We all hear the scary numbers about how many companies last 5 years, but that's like saying that .1% of baseball bat swings lead to a home run- there's so many nuances that have an important (How good are most players? Are they even attempting to hit a home run? How many swings do most people take, total?) Two of my favorite books on the subject are: -Illusions of Entrepreneurship (affiliate URL removed by admin) which does a great job of breaking down the statistics by education, original income level, ect. The high-tech startups that dominate the headlines make up a vanishingly small percentage of total entrepreneurship (and very few entrepreneurs are Zuckerberg-aged) -Action Trumps Everything (affiliate URL removed by admin) (or free through Babson College: (affiliate URL removed by admin)) which is like 'entrepreneurship philosophy'. It goes beyond 'Illusions' dry stats and talks about strategies that are appropriate for such an unknowable world Does anyone else have suggestions for great entrepreneurship books?

Walmart Walmart - Hi there, It is amazing to hear that news. I am in the UK. Some five years ago Walmart bought ASDA Superstores. We do most of our shopping there. So I have a little interest in Walmart. Eearlier this year I spend a few weeks in the US. I visited Walmart on several occasions. I was impressed, as they have one section for Massive Bulk Purchases. One needs a registration for that priviledge. Are other Markets doing the same? Is that a growing section? It is quite natural that there are competitors. Re: What to do at the first roadblock? Re: What to do at the first roadblock? - Do you want the real number or what I tell my wife??? Presently one business that has three distinct product lines that cater to the transportation industry. I find myself looking at other markets that are much larger than what we service... Entrepreneurs for example... how many are there out there compared to transportation companies? Massive market that's tough to overlook... Ask Evan! There are many markets like this and if one is constantly thinking about it, eventually a business idea comes up that requires some additional thought. But... as per the theme of this thread, roadblocks happen for a reason and you either choose to find a way around it or turn around and look for another route as the road after the roadblock might be a little rough!!!
Advertisement that sales Advertisement that sales - Plan your marketing programme. It should include commitment to capital resources. If you run a small business, you aren't likely to have a generous enough advertising budget that will allow you to run costly branding or campaign ads. Every advertisement you run must convey to your prospect a solid offer and attractive reasons to act quickly, and result in increased sales and an enhanced image of your company. Good advertising always pays its own way through increased sales and profits, improved cost-effectiveness, reduced selling costs and shortened selling cycles. A useful formula that will help you increase the effectiveness of your advertising efforts is A-I-D-A, which stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. When creating an advertisement, always remind yourself that it should: (1) capture your prospects' Attention, (2) arouse their Interest in your offer, (3) create their Desire for your product or service, and (4) provide a powerful spur to Action, that is, turn your prospect into buyers. Remember, bad advertising is an unproductive expense, and good advertising is an investment in future profits!
