May The Force Be With You

I was never a fan of the Star Wars movies. I couldn't really see what all the hype was about, so I never saw any of the movies until a couple of years ago. A friend told me I had to watch them, all of them. He said I would love them. He was right! It was actually the character of Yoda who I fell in love with and his lessons about the "Force."

The force reminds me of all that fascinates me constantly about the Laws of Attraction. Whether you know it or not, the Laws/Force are always working -- whether you are using them to your advantage or disadvantage. One of my business partners and I created a new teleclass -- calling it the AMP. It stands for Always Manifesting, Period! We are all manifesting something all the time. My purpose in every coaching, teaching, or writing interaction is to support people in manifesting what they want.
I have heard complaints, dozens of times over the years, from clients saying, "I've tried everything and the Laws aren't working for me. I have clarified what I want. I put a lot of attention on it, both in my mind and taking action toward it. I expected my intention/goal/dream two days ago and it didn't show up. What the heck did I do wrong?"

Yoda and Abraham are both wise and clever teachers. Yoda says, "The Force will be with you always," which means the force doesn't go away and hide from you. It is at your beck and call. Whether you can truly see it or not. When you are in the mode that I talked about above, asking where your desire is, your attention is most likely on the opposite of what you want. You are giving more airtime in your mind to the thing you don't want to happen. Or maybe you're focused on the problem, which gives you more of the problem. Or, you doubt that you will truly receive your desire. Abraham says, "Want it and don't resist it, and it is. Every single time without exception." (G-5/15/95)

So, what do you do when you are frustrated with the whole process of being a magnificent creator who thinks he/she is trying and getting nowhere, feeling stuck? I have said the following quote hundreds of times, even before I saw any of the Star Wars movies. Yoda says, "To do or do not, for there is no try." In other words, you can not try anything. You commit to something or not. You must be clear that the force is with you. The Universal Laws of Attraction are working. YOU are the one who can turn the tides for yourself. You must believe that they work for YOU. Give attention to the reality you would like. Refuse to look back at the problem after you have experienced and clarified it for what it was. YOU are deserving. YOU can manifest easily. YOU must relax and come back to your confident self.

Kick the habit of going to the "dark side." How do you know if you are in the light or dark? In the light you feel light, peace, confidence, support, love, joy, passion, inspiration and things move along nicely. The darks side is full of fear, heaviness, control, manipulation, tight, loneliness and things seem hard.

Whether you call it your magic wand or light saber, your power is in your hands. Peace is with you. Abundance is yours. You are extremely wise. Tap into YOU!

My adventure: Rappelling My adventure: Rappelling - A year or so ago I visited my sister over in Germany. (She's in the Air Force, stationed over there.) We went caving in Luxembourg. It was a "beginner's cave trip." - just a 1-day thing. (Three hours to get there, 2 hours at the cave, 3 hours back.) The first thing we had to do was learn how to rappel. So we were all on top of this sheer escarpment, about 50 feet high or so, and practiced rappelling down. There were 10 of us. I put it off, and put it off, and was the 2nd to the last one to go. You're supposed to turn and go over the edge of the cliff backwards, with the rope attached to your harness in such a way that you can slide down it, controlling your descent by your hand behind your back with a bit of rope in it. Well, I chickened out - couldn't do it. As I waited for the last person to go down, my sister ran up the trail to where we were and urged me to give it a try. She'd done it, I could do it. So, I gathered up my courage and tried it again. "If I die, I die!" I said to myself. So over the edge I went. And I LOVED it. Rough, and stop and go, in an unskilled fashion, but I made it all the way down and I loved it. I would have been quite happy to go again! But then it was time to go into the cave, which I didnt' care for. We rappelled through 3 or 4 different openings - which is what took the time - and then out the other side of the cave. Wouldn've taken 1 person 5 minutes. Didn't care for the caving - boring, loved the rappelling, and if I ever get another chance, I'd go again. I guess it was just the exhiliaration of being in complete control, your whole body suspended in space by a rope, but you were able to control your descent and feel like James Bond (or Emma Peel!) Great fun!
Re: Good role models (and a rant on women in today's TV) Re: Good role models (and a rant on women in today's TV) - [quote="BuzzAroundBooks":zr494s8r]In that case, which shows on tv (if any) do you enjoy watching? And if you had the money are there any good role models on tv you'd ask to endorse your products and services?[/quote:zr494s8r] Heh heh. To tell the truth, I don't watch a lot of "new" TV. I watch a lot of sports, and see the advertisements for the dramas, sitcoms, reality shows, and so on, that way, and so I can tell what they're about, and what kind of people the women portray, without actually having to watch them! What I'd like to see are TV shows that show women pilots, bicyclists, and so on. (I'd really like to increase the profile of bicyclists on city streets, because in the good ol' USA, even though drivers are supposed to share the road with cyclists, 9 out of 10 of em think cyclists are supposed to be on sidewalks. Have some big name actors like Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, riding through the streets on bikes urging people to do likewise...might do some good!) I'd like to see astronauts such as Shannon Lucid and Eileen Collins in programs, or the various female Air Force pilots (I just interviewed Donna Kohout, for example, first woman to fly a Nighthawk, for my Winged Victory webzine), etc. etc. The shows I watch are the DVDs of the ones I grew up with as a kid, The Avengers with John Steed and Emma Peel (Emma Peel was and is a role model for me), Banacek, Columbo, etc.! I used to watch Law and Order, too...but it's many spinoffs have never appealed....
