The Manifestation is right in Front of Your Nose
I went to Maui for a high school friend's destination wedding and rented a house with several other friends. One morning we all woke up early and walked to a favorite breakfast spot on the ocean, The Gazebo.
A fierce rain downpour and an hour-long line to be seated there dampened the excitement of eating, literally. I was very hungry and wanted a decaf coffee baaad. I began my mission of finding a cup of joe by walking all over the nearby resort. We had walked to the restaurant, so I couldn’t hop in the car and drive to the nearest java hut.
As I got soaked from the black cloud above me, I was amazed that I couldn’t find a gosh darn coffee yet I had manifested an oceanfront multi-million dollar house at half-price for accommodations. @#$&!
I noticed I was getting a wee bit irritated so I put myself on a time-out. I walked under an awning to get out of the rain, and then settled my energy down by breathing deeply. Once relaxed, I walked back over to my friend who was holding our place in line.
Then the darnedest thing happened. I noticed a coffee pot three feet to my right for the people waiting in line. I got excited until I thought that it was probably regular rather than my desired decaffeinated. My friend pointed out that there were actually two pots of coffee sitting there.
Duh! How could I have been so blind?
I was so wrapped up in my irritation that I couldn’t see that what I wanted was right under my nose. And have you noticed that it happens like that quite frequently? You can be searching high and low for your keys, in a rush, only to find that they were in plain sight the entire time.
And so it goes for all things we desire in business and money. The next step or perfect answer is under your nose. It will be unveiled as soon as you lose the intensity around what you desire.
When you get wound up, put yourself on a time-out. You’re only allowed to get up when you’ve calmed down and let go of figuring it all out or pushing forward. The times when you feel most under the gun is when you will most resist a time out. Do it anyway.
You don’t want to chill out so you can immediately get your results. You want to soothe your mental mind because life is too short to be whacked out. Now, of course, you will get your answer soon after, but don’t let that be the driving force.
Care more about your sanity than you do anything else. It’s my number one business rule. It’s also the secret to manifesting money in abundance, but that’s another article.

Don't give up 40%!
- Congrats on this milestone Evan...
I agree with outsourcing any function that makes the business owner a Front-line worker as this is not best use of your time.
I also agree with Louis that 40% is too much to give up. 40% may work if you have surpassed your income goals from the website and after you pay the 40% you are still within your monthly income goals.
Would an RFP/RFI (Request For Proposal/Information) to companies like this Website Sales Team be a call you need to make?
Re: Ideas For Business
- [quote="Lucy Wu":1jgzn2hg]
And here’s our plan so far:
1. We buy our products at "Costco" and sell them for higher price.
2. We play live music to entertain people.
3. We need to find a good location for this. (Which we do not know yet where, but any suggestions would be helpful. We are located in Toronto)[/quote:1jgzn2hg]
1. I like the hot Coco and Apple Cider idea. If you can wear clothing to go with a theme (like Carolers during Christmas) you will get more attention.
2. The weather is getting colder in Toronto - Are you sure you and your partner are up to playing live music outdoors?
3. distillery district, Nathan Philips Square, Subways stations (need TTC vendor license and it's warmer), in fact any public/Tourist ice rink (Mel Lastman Sq, Harbour Front, Nathan Philips)
I hope you can spend some more thought on this idea. Look for something that you are passionate about but there is a "screaming want" in the Toronto market. Also the idea should be duplicate-able.. what do I mean - well it should not have to depend on you being present to have the business run.
Selling Hot Coco and Apple Cider only is duplicate-able because you just have to show someone how to do it once and they can now do it in multiple locations.
Warning about the idea though: Canadians can be very skeptical about purchasing food products that are sold in public and not out of a retail store - how do I know - I just asked 10 random people here in the office that live downtown and all 10 said they would never even consider purchasing it in that fashion - it's not the Idea - It's just a "trust" thing.
Make millions with this software
- I am starting a new thread with this email, I received from Mike Dillard a few months ago. Though I have posted it as a reply to a thread, but I believe it will be good to post it as new because Earl Nightingale used it. Napoleon Hills used it, Andrew Carnegie used it and it is your free of charge.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
So as promised, I’m going to reveal the secret weapon I use on a daily basis to achieve incredible results in business.
It’s a piece of software that has built my entire little empire brick-by-brick, day-by-day…
It’s not DeamWeaver, Outlook, Front Page, 1ShoppingCart, or an auto-responder.
No… I’m afraid to say that it’s just as lame, and yet just as important as the secret I revealed yesterday.
When I look out across this industry and throughout the community members at MagneticSponsoring.com, I see two kinds of people…
Those who have made “execution” a daily habit, and those who have not.
Here's what I mean by that...
Many close friends and associates have noticed that I’ve acquired one particular trait over the years which has enabled me to achieve some incredible things.
It’s not that I’m smarter than anyone else, or that I’ve had better opportunities, or that I’ve had more money to start with, (which was definitively not the case).
They all say it comes down to one thing… “Mike, what makes you different than everyone else out there is that once you have an idea, you actually sit down and do it”.
To be honest, that never really occurred to me, and it made me stop and really think.
I just took it for granted that if you have a great idea, you freaking do it right?
But most people don’t. They have an incredible idea and think about doing it. Day’s go by. Weeks go by. Months go by. Before they realize it, they’re still sitting in the same position they were a year before.
I don’t think about things, I do them.
I have an idea and I execute that idea one little step at a time each and every day until the project is complete.
Success is not a destination, it’s the result of a pattern of habitual behaviors.
That’s why you can take someone who’s had a track record in one field, and move them to another with the expectation that success will be achieved again.
It’s not the job, the business opportunity, the new marketing system, or the product that resulted in their success… It was their daily habits. They were “do-ers”.
There are successful people and unsuccessful people in every company – all using the same tools, the same websites, and the same system.
The difference is found in their daily habits.
So how you can you transition from a “thinker”, to a “do-er”?
Well that’s where my little secret software weapon comes into play. This little gem has been crucial in creating my habitual pattern of getting things done, producing millions in revenue in the process.
It’s called “WordPad”.
Also known as NotePad or TextEdit for Mac users, it’s that little program that opens up to a blank white page and just stares at you with a blinking cursor at the top.
You write text in it. That’s all. It doesn’t do anything what-so-ever, or even check your spelling.
Yes I know… Another big let down just like yesterday right?
Well here’s why this program is so valuable to you… It’s your new boss.
Every night before I go to bed, I pull up my Word Pad file which I save as “To-Do.txt”, and I write down five tasks that I must complete the following day in order of importance.
For example, here’s my actual “To Do List” for today:
To Do List:
1: Write and send MS newsletter.
2: Update Adwords campaign.
3: Run new headline split-test.
4: Finish Chapter 4 in “Building On A Budget”.
5: Return prospect phone calls and emails.
6: Read a book.
Now here’s what’s so magical about this process…
If you make your list the night before, you’ll subconscious will have all night to think about it.
The moment you wake up, you’re on task. You already know what your goals for the day are. You’re focused, and by starting your day with this focus and this purpose that’s already laid out for you, it allows you to ignore the onslaught of distractions that come with each new morning.
You’ll find that if you don’t have your To-Do List waiting for you in the morning, that you’ll get side-tracked immediately. Life happens. It gets in the way. And unless you take back that control and focus, it will prevent you from accomplishing anything. This is the deadly trap you must avoid at all costs that's preventing you from achieving the results you want.
Above all other things, this little process of creating my To-Do List each night using nothing more than Word Pad, as allowed me to create the Magnetic Sponsoring empire.
That massive new community site we have with over 14,000 pages of content was created one step at a time by my little Word Pad file.
The new Magnetic Sponsoring 3.0 System? Yep… Created by Word Pad.
It’s the most powerful piece of software in the world.
And here’s my challenge to you…
Make a commitment to use my method for 30 days, starting tonight. Before you go to bed, make your list of 5 tasks that you MUST complete by the end of the next day.
They must be actions “tasks”, not goals.
If you do the tasks, your goals will be accomplished automatically.
Don’t put…
1: Sponsor a new rep
2: Get a new customer
3: Read a book
4: Etc…
If sponsoring a new rep or getting a new customer is the goal, focus on the tasks that will result in that goal like producing 20 new leads, and contacting previous prospects.
1: Send out a press release.
2: Send a newsletter to my list.
3: Add 3 new AdGroups to my PPC campaign.
4: Talk to at least 5 prospects.
5: Read Chapter 3 in “MLMTrafficFormula”
If you do this without fail for 30 days, you’ll be a completely different person, and you’ll have made more progress in one month, than you have in the past 12.
Hey… I just had an idea… I’m going to set up a forum post for this and name it the “30 Day Challenge”. As you adopt this new pattern of habits, post your progress on the forum and share your results!
Thank you for your leadership,
Mike Dillard

Letting go as I’m working full time and just started Business School… I just don’t have the time. However, these sites are ripe for one to build a better business direction.
I started these sites as the pet industry happens to be exploding, exponentially and almost parabolically. Google “pet spending” to find a glimpse. Some articles you’ll find:
“The Growing Pet Industry Is One Trend You Can Bank On”
"In the past 10 years, pet spending has more than doubled to an estimated $38.4 billion for 2006."
"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the pet industry is now the seventh largest retail segment in the country."
“We have only begun to see the tip of the spending iceberg"
“Pet Spending at All Time High”
"Pet ownership is on the increase in the US, and the amount of money spent on pets is dramatically increasing too."
The two sites are content and community driven websites with 350+ health related articles on pets, a pet blog that discusses current issues, and a very active message board and community. They compliment each other perfectly and as such are being sold together as a package. The templates are completely custom designed and CSS powered. They would be XHTML Strict Compliant however we’ve included a couple of things that just wouldn’t let it pass. There are almost 8000 members between the two sites. Several hundred more between the blog subscribers and the email list subscribers. At one time we had a store (its all still there however it’s been shut off) and we had about 200 customers. The store lasted only about a month and a half as our careers just didn’t allow us to provide the customer service this site deserves. We also had a drop ship company that worked out really well, (and we still do if we want them). Much more work than our careers had time for. The logos are custom. I’ve got the logo in vector version for Signs and tee shirts. The Design is custom. All software front-ends are custom and running clean - open source applications. Runs extremely well.
The entire 2 sites run on a dedicated server that runs about $100 a month.. The sites run on a LAMP environment, meaning Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. All of the software is open source and requires no fees. We run PHPLIST, Zen Cart, and SMF Simple Machines Forum. The blog is Word Press. The article system is completely custom however the back end panel is ran simple from phpMyAdmin – straight to the database.
I think there is enormous potential with the two sites as the brands have a very loyal following and is growing by leaps and bounds. It has been mentioned in 10 or so online and offline newspapers (that I am aware of) as well as a magazine – all of which will be provided. The site was featured as Yahoo’s Site of the Week. The site was forever (and perhaps still is) the number one pet site viewed on StumbleUpon.com. The blog also has 177 links from 56 sites according to Technorati.com and ranks 52,000. The database is huge. It’s full of fully owned content, images, customer data, subscriber data, members etc etc. The brand really sells when it comes to tee shirts and calendars. We have a drop shipper when needed that we buy tee’s at 4 dollars a shirt. Each shirt sold for $20 so there was a great margin.
The two sites have a solid existence and are trenched well into all the major search engines with perhaps thousands of first place results for keywords and keyword combinations. The majority of traffic is all organic from Google, Yahoo and MSN and it will stay that way forever. The site was built solidly by SEO pros with Search Engine Spiders in mind as every part of the site is search friendly. All pages have been correctly and lightly coded. The database powers the meta tags, title tags, h1’s, h2’s, image titles and bold tags. The site has tens of thousands of dollars put into the design and functionality.
