Creating products is confusing. What do I do first? What should I create? What will it look like? Who will want to buy it? I know it must be hard!
This the type of mind chatter that keeps you stuck in a rut, never reaching for your dreams. Your mind literally stops you from moving forward even when you have some great ideas that will sell.
First, you have got to ignore the mind chatter. No matter how negative your “inner Judge” is with regards to your great ideas. Until you decide to ignore the negative self talk you will never make progress.
Got it done? Great! Now you can create your very first product. You don’t need an audience, you don’t need fancy equipment, you don’t need to spend any money to create this 1st product.
What you need is an “expert.” If you have been studying business and how to succeed, I will assume that you already have identified a profitable niche and you have a pretty good idea of who your target market is and how to find them. Now all you need is a product, and therefore an expert.
Start by reading 5 books about the topic you want to address in your product. This will make you smarter than 90% of the folks out there. You can even say you are the expert at this point.
Look at the websites of the competition and make note of all the bullet points you see. These can become your questions for the expert.
Go to google and start searching for people in your niche. Check out their websites and contact them. Most will gladly do a quick 20 minutes for your audience. Offer to give them a copy of the interview.
Once you have a willing person, go ahead and interview them asking them questions based on the sales pages of your competitors’ websites. This way you are asking and getting answers to the burning questions out there.
Record the interview. Add intro music and exit music and you now have your very 1st digital product!
