Conviction
True Belief
Webster’s New World Dictionary lists conviction as a strong belief. It is well known that what we call reality is merely a byproduct of thought, charged with emotion. Emotion is fallout from our belief therefore increasing belief improves the outcome of our desires. Consequently conviction supercharges reality. Conviction is definitely one of the components toward success, if our conviction is aimed at success.
Do you know what you believe in? Does your life resonate within you? Are you living the kind of life that makes you happy and proud to be you? If you are living with any half-truths or beliefs that you have held and not proven and made your own, you are living dishonestly and your conscience will not let you rest till you are living the truth. The truth creates integrity and if you are not living your life with integrity, you will never fulfill your heart’s desire. There will never be enough success, money, relationships or anything material to fill the hole created by living life deceitfully. The turnaround in anyone’s life lies in a famous quote from Will Rogers, “If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.”
I have found that most people are, at least at some level, lost within themselves and try to fit in to compensate. It is time for all of us to stop trying to fit in. We are all as unique as our DNA and by trying to fit in we put our piece of the puzzle where it doesn’t belong; forcing a square peg into a round hole.
Generalizing, settling for average or staying neutral is self defeating. We ought not to implicate ourselves in political correctness. Until we focus within, we cannot find our real selves. If we don’t first become our own best friend, we should not expect to build lasting and meaningful relationships with others. “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” is not a good idea, it is a spiritual law. We can only love our neighbor with the love we show ourselves. If we hate ourselves, we will hate others and if we love ourselves, we will love others. It is not something we try; it is the manifestation of spiritual truth.
Most people, including me, live the majority of their lives in automatic. Automatic is the subconscious mind running our life off old outdated information. If we inherited this information and it is untrue for us, then our life doesn’t even belong to us. We cannot fulfill our dreams if they are in actuality the dreams of others. Our dreams are buried within our soul and listening to that small voice within us is the only valid way of achieving the directive.
When we become that which we were meant to be, as created by the Universe, we begin to know ourselves. We begin to live loud and proud. We begin to slowly quit reacting to life as we are in the driver’s seat following our own travel plans instead of waiting for the bus to stop and let us out. Our travel plans are created through intuitive thought, which is found through meditation and prayer. When we here the truth, it will resonate within us. Self truth is the fuel for conviction and conviction manifests greatness.
Conviction spurs passion, confidence, forethought, patience and understanding. Because we are all molecules of the same Universe, in knowing ourselves we at once become compassionate to others and reach out to help them up the same rungs of the ladder we trudged. I believe that until I help all that wish to join me on my journey I cannot reach my destiny. With that in mind, I beg of you to join me as I race to position my flag on the top of my ultimate possibility. And as always…
