Diligence

Success requires diligence!

Ok, so you have good ideas, great plans and sufficient capital. Do you have
enough faith in your projections to suffice the diligence necessary for all good
ideas to grow into fruition? Many great people made it big way beyond their
initial plans and had to create secondary and even tertiary plans to reinforce the
diligence necessary to accomplish the high expectations essential to create
illustrious aspirations.

It is said that a business plan should include enough capital to sustain at least
the first three years of any business venture and yet most businesses fail within
the first year or two due of start up due to lack of capital. This shows a lack of
diligence as with diligence one finds any way possible to accomplish one’s goals.

Whether we are starting a business, a venture or merely a push towards
improving our career status we must be sure we have sufficient passion for our
ideas if we are to support the diligence necessary to accomplish our goals. Many
times in my life I jumped quickly out of the blocks with more infatuation over an
idea than the true passion necessary to support diligence.

Today I know the biggest difference between passion and infatuation is the
period of time necessary to properly ferment the ingredients that create passion.
Ideas must be sufficiently charged to maintain the level of excitement required in
supporting diligence and infatuation is too fickle and short lived.

Another component of diligence is building sufficient support for both the ideas
and the maintained energy level necessary for any success. I have always the use of a life coach to be of immeasurable assistance in getting the encouragement necessary to stay diligent. And as always remember...

Your Life is PERFECT!

Screening franchisees and due diligence Screening franchisees and due diligence - [quote:dabbss2r]What do you guys think? If I come to you and say "if you buy a franchise, I'll give you 4 more for free". What would you think?[/quote:dabbss2r] Interesting post... I think this is a good example of what NOT to do if you aspire to be a franchisor. His impatience will get the best of him in this case. I can see the AHA lightbulb flashing above his head as he schemes out his brilliant solution "what if I just gave away all these territories and that will inflate my numbers and make me look bigger and attract more franchisees." I've seen this type of strategy before in my own industry. The results aren't very good... Without good screening measures in place, you'll see more failures. What's a better selling point? - I have a small core group of successful franchisees that were qualified and screened before buying into the system. It was a win / win situation for everybody. Give them a call and see for yourself. OR - I have dozens of franchisees with multiple territories. Here's short list of the successful ones, give them a call. The others aren't doing so well because they really shouldn't have bought into the concept in the first place. Why? A bunch of reasons that could have been identified early on if we had done some screening and they had done their [i:dabbss2r]Due Diligence[/i:dabbss2r].

And would you have more detail surrounding the items on your list? - Is Your credit in good standing? Does a person simply need good conversation skills? - How can you demonstrate this attribute aside from speaking with more energy in your voice and communicating through body language?[/color:ciz2u7mt] - Are you willing to subscribe to their system? - Are they just looking for "yes" men and women?[/color:ciz2u7mt] - Do you understand basic business skills? - Will the franchisor evaluate you based on how you answer their questions or will they weigh their decision more based on your professional/educational background?
