Boomer Entrepreneurs: 3 Ways "Baby Eyes" Can Improve Your Home-Based Business
For boomer entrepreneurs to stay alive and be profitable in today's competitive business environment, you need to keep your "baby eyes" wide open.
What this means is having an open mind, and willingness to consider anything that affects your home-based business from a number of different angles.
Let's look at three ways "baby eyes" can help to improve your home business:
1. Find fascination
If you've ever spent any time with a baby, you can't help but notice the way they view the world. They find everything around them fascinating, and worthy of their attention. Why? Because everything it's new. They've never seen it before.
How could you use this sense of wonder and fascination in your business? What would happen is you found everything around enthralling, exciting, and worthy of your attention? What would you do differently in your home-based business?
2. Lack judgment
Have you noticed that when a baby looks at something they lack any form of judgment. Why? Because, they have no previous frame of reference. Babies have no way of telling if they should pay attention to the fuzzy stuffed animal or the crinkly wrapping paper it came in. This means that they are free from any preconceived notions.
Imagine looking at new tools, and innovations, without any form of judgment. What would happen in your business if you let go of any preconceived notions or previous experiences? What opportunities might open up for you?
3. Disregard other's thinking
Babies are blissfully unaware of what other people think. They view new things not only free from their own expectations, but free from the expectations of anyone around them.
Have you ever been influenced, or intimidated into making a decision by a friend, a family member, a colleague, or even a complete stranger? In hindsight, was it a wise move?
What if you ignored the advice of others? Could it help or hinder you? Would it force you out of your comfort zone? What would you differently in your home business?
I've posed several questions, which I hope will stimulate your thinking, and allow you to take risks. As a savvy boomer entrepreneur who wants to grow a profitable home business, you need to be willing to take risks, expand your comfort zone, and persevere, no matter what the obstacles, or frustrations.
When you view the world with wonder, let go of any bias, and ignore what others think, you may well be able to seize opportunities, that otherwise might pass you by.
How will you use your "baby eyes" today? What risks are you willing to plan, and take? Like a turtle, you can only move forward when you are willing to stick your neck out!

- I’m a student of Business management. I have been given a task by a local business to Improve there marketing to increase their sales, after a drop in interest in a certain service.
The Business is a Local Health and leisure centre and is currently suffering from a drop in sales and interest in the adult swimming service. The Business have suffered from a drop in sales by nearly 50% in the past two years. They have asked me to create a business plan and an idea to how they can improve their marketing and increase their sales in adult swimming sessions.
I am posting on here, to seek advice on any ideas that you may have about how a small leisure centre can increase sales in the adult swimming market. Any ideas would be welcome as I am currently struggling to come up with an idea that is very effective and cheap to carry out, so any ideas would be welcome.
Hope I have given you enough basic info, don't hesitate to ask if you need more information. Again any ideas would be very welcome and I would appreciate your help. I will be looking forward to hearing some of your ideas. Looking for a quick reply as i have not got long to complete the task and organise my presentation to local businesses.
