How to Create a Winning Attitude in Your Business
Athletes have a desire to win and the ones who are successful hold a winning attitude. From working in the sports performance arena, staying positive in athletics applies in business too. Company owners can apply the same mindset of professional athletes by using the Neuro-Linguistics Programming and Psychology as tools to create powerful results.
Being successful in sports or life takes daily practice and persistence. Just like the athlete, overachievers in a company must overcome negative self-talk, which comes from the small voice that most people hear in their head that are the negative things that are taking place in your life.
If you have negative self-talk, the pictures in your mind's eye that you see are not going to produce the results in your life. Most of the time, the negative images are from what occurred in the past. In some cases, it could be a recent memory.
From working with top athletes, they must play full out. That means that they must have their "A" game. The same is true with running a business. You must be willing to give 1,000% daily to produce outstanding results.
And, like an athlete, a business person must change his or her limiting belief systems. You must know without a doubt that you can accomplish anything and be willing to change. With some of the company owners I've worked with, I tell them they can double their sales or increase their revenue by 25%. There are those who can't believe this. In response to this limiting belief, if you say you can or cannot, then you are right.
I believe that success is 80% mental and 20% mechanics, which means that you really must have a winning attitude to produce outstanding results in your business. If you would like to have the mindset of a Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, then you must be mentally prepare to create a winning attitude in your life.
